Bahrain s National Day is December 1617, and it gained its indepence in 1971.
The kingdom of Bahrain comprises 5
governorates: Al-Muharraq, Capital,
Northern, Central, and Southern.

Location
Bahrain lies in the middle of the Arabian
Gulf, near the east coast of the kingdom
of Saudi Arabia.
Weekends
Friday & Saturday are the official weekend
for all government offices, as well as
most companies and banks, except those
who work half a day on Thursday.
Climate
Bahrains climate is hot in summer
and mild in winter. Between November
and April the weather is cool with
an average temperature that ranges
from 15-24 C, The weather is coldest
between December and March when the
North winds pass over the country. The
average temperature between July and
September is 36 C with a high percentage
of humidity, while the average rainfall is
about 77 millimeters.

Religion
Islam is the official religion of the
Kingdom and is embraced by the vast
majority of the population. There are
also places of worship in Bahrain for
adherents of other religions.
