persistently thrives despite turbulent
economies. Large scale specialization
across the market-place allows a wide
array of activities and clientele to be
accommodated and subsequently an

The University
of Utah College of Health
is proud to offer a specialized degree
program for
Hospitality
Management under the renowned
Parks, Recreation, & Tourism department. The program is designed
to prepare students for a career in the
hospitality industry through theoretical knowledge, operational expertise,

into knowledgeable citizens and effective managers. The nuances of the
industry are of equal importance to
our students learning how to successfully work with others to achieve
goals. The skills and character developed through the hospitality management program will hopefully be

separate internships within the hospitality
industry. Internships are a crucial segment of
student learning as they provided hands-on
real world experience. PRT 3800 is the first
internship opportunity and can be completed
in conjunction with classes as its required
hours suggest. PRT 4828, the second internship, is designed to cover an entire semester
of coursework and be a cumulative finale to
our students college experience.
