Criteria for this workshop:

Read the reviewer memo from the writer first.

Write a 100 word (minimum) note detailing the strengths of each page and areas where it
could benefit from improvement. Each note should specifically address the additional
content on the page, meaning the introduction to the page and the description for each
item. You may also include comments about the layout and arrangement of items;
however, this should not be your main focus.
Complete the rubric below.

2 peer workshops must be submitted by Wednesday, April 22 at 9:30 AM in order to receive

full credit for the workshop. No late workshops will be accepted.

About
I really think you did a great job on your about page! You introduced yourself in a way
that makes you sound professional and yet still yourself, which is great! I also like how you
added that about button in order to view your introduction. It makes this page very unique. I
really dont think there is anything you need to add to this page. I think you do a very thorough
job at introducing yourself and your portfolio!
Discussion Forum
I think you did a great job describing the overall concept of the discussion forum posts as
well as a description of why you included each post. You talked about the purpose for these
assignments, as well as what you think you have gotten out of each of them, which I think makes
this page very effective at showing the overall purpose of this portfolio. The only thing I want to
remind you of is to include the five replies as well but other than that I think this page looks
great!
In-Class Assignments
The only thing I noticed on this page was under daybook entries you just had a little
typo. Other than that, you did really well at explaining each artifact individually in order for the
reader to understand why it is that you chose those specific ones to put in your portfolio. I would
just recommend adding your fourth daybook entry and another in-class assignment and then I
think you will have everything you need for this page. I really do think you are doing great job at
describing each document. You always talk about the overall purpose as well as the effect it has
had on you as a writer, which portrays the progress that you have made throughout the semester.
Micro-Ethnography
Once again, I think you did a very wonderful job on this page as well! The only thing I
would recommend is that you may want to introduce your audience to the discourse community
you chose in the first introduction. The only reason I say this is because you then go straight to
the outline, which begins breaking your community down and that may confuse the reader a bit.
The other thing I noticed was under your field observation description, you talk about how you
attended their lifts, you may want to include what that is to your audience just incase they are
unaware. Also, dont forget to include your field observations and final draft! Other than that I
think this page looks great and you did a very effective job at describing each artifact.
Genre Analysis

I feel like you could include some additional information in your overall introduction on
this page in order to make it more effective. Maybe you could include some information about
what youve learned about the term genre and what you got out of this project. Also, you may
want to consider rewording the introduction. I just feel like you could reword it to make it sound
more effective. Right now it just sounds a little bit choppy. In fact, I feel like there are a few
instances on this page where rewording may be useful! Just to make it flow a bit better. Other
than that I think this page is great!
Reflections and Portfolio Contents
The description for your midterm reflection has good information in it but I think you
could make it sound a little bit better. I think you may have just left out a word or comma or
something that made the meaning of the paragraph a little bit unstable. Throughout the rest of the
page the descriptions seem okay, but like the midterm description I think you can make them
stronger and more effective! Im sure you are planning on going back and doing this anyways.
Other than that I think you have done a really great job on your portfolio and are very ahead of
the rest of the class when it comes to the content that you already have!
