The killers Choice

Many citizens of the United States think that weapons are beneficial to them and
keep them secure in society. The sale of guns or weapons is huge in America, that most
people can get it legally, yet there are some people who steal it or get it another way.
Most of the guns sold illegally end up in the wrong hands, and the end up killing others
either by mistakes or cold blooded. In the US, thousands lose their lives each year either
by shootouts, accidental shoots, or murder. There are some extreme cases where
people take it too far, as the Sandy Hook Elementary, shooting at theaters, and sacred
areas. Still many people protest against it, however since the second constitution
protects the right to bear arms, it will not pass by the Supreme Court. Still many
protestors got riled up from the school shootings and the Ferguson case. Still this
doesnt stop the sale of guns, however stricter laws are put against them such a
complete search of your life. Yet many killers get their guns from friends or family, and
go do horrible things with those weapons. Therefore guns are a danger to the American
society and the planet, from the chance of falling in the wrong hands. The protest art is
a gun that has a layout of bones for construction. This will show the menace that guns
really are to our societies.
In the protest art by David, there is a gun model built with bones of a human. This
art shows it true meaning by the use of symbolism, such as the bones represented in
the picture. As the reader looks upon the picture, he gets the idea of death from this
picture. The bones depict death of humans, either innocent or guilty, by guns. Guns kills
millions around the world, which is depicted by this picture, and all that is left is blood,
bones, and flesh. Many Americans own a gun, and dont see these pictures or dont
understand them, since to them a gun is for self-defense or protection. True it protects
them at times, but at what cost? The cost is another humans life, and they must bear
the thought that they murdered a human in cold blood. However some people, mainly
depressed or mentally ill people, get guns to kill themselves or others. The Sandy hook
shooting that occurred in Connecticut, took the lives of 26 people by a 20 year old killer
Adam Lanza. The man was mentally ill and depressed, and committed those acts on
cold blood, and then killed himself. This was a major push for the gun control movement
around the US. However it did not ban weapons, but instead increased the insight of a
person biography and a limit.
The next part of symbolism is the form of the assault rifle that closely looks like
the AK-47, a known weapon around the world. Being famous by the famous line, SAY
HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!! in the movie Scarface. Now the importance of this
model and why its in the art, well this gun is known to have fallen to terrorists hands
such as Al-Qaeda. This model is known to be in the hands of Muslims extremist groups
in the Middle East, and is great in quantity. Another reason why the bones form a model
of a rifle, is because these weapons are automatic and shoot various bullets in mere
seconds. Making easier to kill groups of people, and to win battles. These under the

hands of terrorist, have taken the lives of any innocent people in areas around the
Middle East. Another meaning that could be found is that, weapons all shapes and sizes
are the abomination of humanity. The reason behind this idea, is that many weapons
made for war, are now available to all humans legally or illegally. Created to aid a
certain country, the motherland, or an allied country in war, they can be bought on the
black market or in stores in the United States. Not only guns or rifles, but bombs and
gases are possible to attain and use in a cruel way. Even through the United Nations
has made a treaty to stop the production of nuclear weapons, countries or terrorist
groups might be able to get them on the black market. This endangers the lives of
billions of people on the planet earth, and the environment if a nuclear warfare were to
break out. Thats why many people protest ot reduce or exterminate the sale of
weapons to ordinary citizen, and limt it to the military of the countries. Yet the big
countries such as Russia, China, and United States, dont allow this ban to pass, since
they reduce the security of their citizen and land. The more lives lost to the creation of
man, will eventually change the role of weapons in the next generations to come.
Another form of symbolism is the darkness of the background, in which the
protest art lays upon. This could symbolize the silence in the societies of those who
were victims or those who lost people. This signifies that their opinion is very silent and
unnoticed, since weapons have not been banned. Which shows that most people agree
that weapons are necessary on their daily for protection, show, or collection. In the
United States millions of weapons are sold, a third of them are rifles or shotguns,
leading to believe that weapon sale in the US won slow down for a time, this guns
eventually fall under the wrong hands and end killing more people than saving. This had
led to many restrictions, stricter searches on biography, and higher prices. Although
activist for Gun Control argue and protest against the limit of gins to only the military, the
supreme has yet to ban the weapons to citizens of the United States and more lives are
lost due to this indecisiveness of theirs. However they rely on the constitution, which in
the second amendment, states that all citizen have the right to own a weapon of any
sort. Some people takes amendment to serious, and by a collection of rifles, snipers,
and shotguns for their collection or house protection. This leads to other problems, as
leaving their safe keeps unlocked, whereas a child might be able to obtain these
weapons and end killing other children their age from being to simple minded. Not all
cases are of children getting weapons, adolescents, teenagers, and adults obtain
weapons from improper safekeeping. Thus leading to the main point, that weapons
should only be allowed to the military of the country or the police, not to ordinary
citizens.
The picture main points are death, weapons menace, and the voice of those
under those with power. As long as the sale of weapons keep being sold in the United
States, those lives that were lost to gun violence will never rest in peace. We need to
step up and give retribution to the lost souls. It is up to the future generations to save

the world, and change it to a more peaceful way, the messages shown on this picture
show that guns are danger to the planet, and should be limited to those who protects
us. Thus leading to the conclusion that guns are a menace to societies and the planet,
since the wrong people can get them.
