To Whom It May Concern:

It is with privilege I write a letter of recommendation for Rebekah Skinner. I was lucky enough to
have Miss Skinner fulfill a long term (20 weeks) teaching position at Pine River Area Schools. I
purposely used the word teaching because Rebekah was a teacher, not a long term substitute.
She came into an awkward situation with our schedule and class load. We had three middle
school world culture classes devoted mostly to Spanish, but Rebekah was able to transition
them all into a French emphasis. She was also required to take over the high school French
classes, at three different levels. Again, she made the transition easy for students.
The students, school, and staff were lucky to have someone continue with the high
expectations already in place by the previous teacher. Ms. Skinner took over the schedule and
classes of a successful teacher, but one who taught in a very busy classroom. Rebekah quickly
took over the classes and made them her own, which can be very difficult for a seasoned
teacher. She was unphased and succeeded at a high level. She had great classroom
management and quickly established a great rapport with all students.
This move to our district was more complicated than most. Rebekah was living 1 1/2 hours
away from our district so the position also required her to pack up and move to a new location.
She accepted the challenge and Pine River Area School was lucky she did. She quickly
became a member of the staff and community.
It is without hesitation I would recommend Ms. Rebekah Skinner for a teaching position. If you
have any questions regarding her ability or qualifications, please do not hesitate to call me. It
would be an honor to speak on Rebekahs experience.
Thanks for your consideration of Rebekah Skinner,

Darrell Willy Holmes
