    Assemblyman Dean Murray (R,C,I-East Patchogue) today proudly joined his
    Assembly colleagues in passing his co-sponsored legislation enacting real pay equity,
    bolstering existing state and federal statutes. This bill, part of Murrays multi-point
    womens equality plan, would prohibit pay discrimination based on sex and would
    provide a pathway for victims of discrimination to recoup wages unjustly denied in the
    past.
    Over the past few years, there has been a lot of talk about pay equity and not
    enough action, said Murray. Im proud to be a co-sponsor of this legislation and glad
    that today we passed this bill and took real steps to ensuring that no hardworking New
    Yorker is a victim of discrimination based on sex.
