Research Plan

Brian Oertel, Tristen Trull, Razan Alshammasi, and Zachary Dombkowski

Topic: Considering the four main on campus eateries, do UNC Charlotte students attest
they are being provided an adequate dining experience?
Introduction:
This research plan shows the process of our project that search if the UNCC dining halls

provide satisfactory meals to their students by searching for the quality of food
according to health, taste, sanitation, price, and hours available. Furthermore, searching
for sanitation of food is so necessary because it affects students health and prevents
diseases. We all know how healthy food are important to the body and how it affect the
body by giving it energy, so healthy, tasty, and fresh meals are important to give
students energy and to increase their focus and performance in their studies. Finally,
dining halls meals prices and hours are also important to consider as a quality of food
because students should be able to eat on campus anytime with less costs, especially
for students who live or work on campus because they will be around the campus all the
time. In this regard, surveys are going to be used to collect data about what students
think about the quality of food in UNCC. The purpose of this project is to search if
UNCC provide a good food quality to their students, and change and improve what
needs to be improved. Also, increase what is good about it and make it improve and
better.

Survey:
Surveys were chosen because they are the most effective way to collect data for our
project. We figured surveys will be proficient because they will reveal a consensus from the
student body without individually interviewing every student. The data from our surveys will be
the best representation of how UNC Charlottes students feel about on campus dining. We
brought our surveys to each dining hall to best analyze the satisfaction with on-campus meals.
With the results from different dining halls, we could reveal that some halls had a higher level of
satisfaction than others. The survey was by far the best method of research for our topic and we
were able to find the most accurate research data.
