Dear Portfolio Committee,

I am writing this letter on behalf of Nathan Green, I was his Chemistry teacher his junior
year and as such have gotten to know him as an intelligent and thoughtful student with excellent
interpersonal skills.
In the classroom, Nathan is a student who works hard and takes care of business. He
keeps up with classwork and homework, asks questions when needed, and helps his lab partner
complete activities on time. He is a student that I never had to worry about because I knew he
would work independently and take an active role in his own learning.
Nathan is also a student who is easy to work with in a group setting. He is friendly,
contributes to discussions, and pulls his own weight when it comes to completion of the
assignment. His ability to work with nearly anyone will be an excellent asset in the classroom and
in the workforce as he moves on from high school to college and beyond.
Thank you for the opportunity to recommend Nathan for graduation, I am confident in
recommending him to you as I know he has the intelligence, work ethic, and interpersonal skills to
be successful in all his future endeavors.
