Engagement Program is leadership driven, and

development driven. The Engagement Strategy
consists of encouraging residents to participate in
opportunities to make decisions over changes in their
community, to involve residents in projects that create
positive community improvement, and to advocate for
resources in low-income neighborhoods we serve.

Our work targets

peoples personal experiences, their history of the
neighborhood and the values
they have for their
community.

An example of something we do once a

moth is an informal community meeting with
residents and stakeholders. This takes place
on the first Thursday of every month and
takes place so residents can connect with
other neighbors and social service providers
across the city. By providing a place where
people can get together for an evening it
helps to create a stronger sense of community. At each event there is a community resource invited to speak and share literature
as well as having a dinner provided. There is
also interactive activities for children.
