Game Documents Instructions
Introduction: So you want to make video games? In this activity you will learn what
documents you need in order to get into the game industry. You will also practice creating
the documents.

4. Cover Letter Example (File 2.25)
5. Rsum Example (File 2.26)
6. Rsum Template (File 2.27)
7. Follow-up Letter Example (File 2.28)

Word processing package such as MS Word

Lesson:
You are to prepare a job application, cover letter, rsum and follow-up letter for the
position of Lead 3D Modeler and Animator. Follow the procedures below.
1. Obtain a blank job application paper.

Complete the job application.

PRINT all of your responses in black ink NEATLY. You may not use Wite Out or
scratch through any part of the application. It may be helpful to place lined paper
under the form. Use the data provided for you and not your own!

2. Write a cover letter.

Look at the example. Use the template as a guide to compose the letter. No
errors of any kind are allowed.

3. Create a resume. Look at the example rsum. Open the attached rsum template
to use as your guide. Complete the rsum and print it out. No errors of any kind are
allowed. Use the data provided for you and not your own!
4. Create a follow-up letter. Look at the example follow-up letter. Errors are not
acceptable.
5. Print and place your completed documents in the following order and staple in the
upper left corner:
