Methodology:
1) I will start this task by dividing my 30 students into groups of six, so five groups, and sit together as a
group.
2) From here I will pull up google on my computer, and give my students a brief lesson of how to do

basic research, and find articles, for a project like this one. I will find an article for each group before
class, and go through the process of searching for it, in class, so that each of my students know how I got
the article they will be using.
3) I will have printed off all of these articles for my students, and I will distribute these articles to all of
my students, a different article for each group. Each student will get their own.
4) I will tell my students that they are going to teach the rest of the class about their economic activity,
and that they will be allowed to use two powerpoint slides to do so. I will ask them to read the articles,
and as a group, create a summary to put on the powerpoint.
5) After I have my students working on this, I will begin to call my students up to the computer, one
group at a time, and allow them to, using the methods I showed them, research anywhere from 1-3
visuals that they think will go along with their project. At this time I will also let my students look at the
layouts for the powerpoint slides, type in a title, and as a group decide how they want to structure their
two slides.
6) As each of my students complete their summaries, I will have them come up, and decide which group
member is going to type the information on their slide. For each groups two slides, I would allow my
students to choose the font and font size for their presentation. In the end, my students would have the
present their two slides to the class.
7) At the end, I would post the entire presentation to my teacher website, so that students and parents
could look back on it as we continued our instruction in this unit.
