Standard Aligned to Objective:
Objective: You will be able to describe how eating right and exercising build muscles, energy
and help you get stronger and run faster; therefore you are a better player in every sport at
recess, school or other sports. You will be communicating and collaborating information and
ideas effectively to an audience using a variety of media and formats (ISTE- Student Standards
2. a., b., d.)
Student Role: A muscle (Arm, leg; bicep, quads)
Audience: Other little muscles in your friends little bodies
Format: A short motivational interactive speech with a Voki after researching using technology
and websites provided by the teacher and using digital tools and resources that will be presented
to an audience.(ICT1)
Topic: You, a muscle are telling other little muscles why it is so important to follow the Food
Pyramid guidelines and to exercise every day because of the important role (strength and energy)
food and physical activity play in staying healthy.

Assessment:
Prepare a 1-2 minute script for a your classmates little muscles explaining it is important to eat
the right foods and exercise regularly to maintain strong and muscles for the purposes of being
better at recess, sports and for your overall health.
You will receive up to 20 points for each of the following: written script, Voki recorded script,
muscle prop and final report.
