political!views,!gender,!and!in!everything!else!the!individual!experiences.!The!concept!of!
dualisms!was!applied!to!personality!types;!focusing!on!extrovert!and!introvert!personality!
types.!Extrovert!personalities!are!characterized!by!talkativeness,!assertiveness,!sociability,!
enthusiasm!and!excitability.!Extrovert!individuals!are!often!outgoing!and!more!willing!to!
take!risks.!Being!gregarious!makes!it!easy!for!extroverts!to!meet!new!people!and!feel!
comfortable!in!any!social!setting.!Social!settings!are!more!than!a!zone!of!comfort!for!
extroverts:!this!is!where!extrovert!individuals!will!pull!their!energy!from.!With!a!prominent!
social!component!to!the!personality!characteristic,!being!alone!will!make!an!extrovert!feel!
isolated!and!can!foster!further!negative!emotion.!The!interests!of!the!extrovert!are!broad!
and!varying.!!

them.!Introverts!relish!their!time!alone.!Individuals!who!exhibit!introvert!personality!
characteristics!will!be!more!sociable!around!the!people!they!know!well!and!have!gained!a!

The!categorization!of!introvert!and!extrovert!act!as!Ideal!Types.!These!types!layout!

the!purest!form!of!each!concept;!in!this!case!the!concept!of!personality!as!divided!into!

individuals!who!exhibit!ambivert!personality!characteristics.!An!ambivert!is!an!individual!
who!expresses!both!qualities!of!the!extrovert!and!the!introvert.!Ambiverts!are!able!to!have!
a!balance!between!the!two!categories!of!personality!traits.!When!discussing!attitudes!
toward!high!energy!social!settings,!an!ambivert!is!most!likely!not!to!have!a!deKinitive!
answer.!Depending!on!the!mood!that!day,!an!ambivert!will!prefer!to!engage!in!a!social!
setting!or!choose!to!remain!introspective.!Ambiverts!are!willing!to!take!risks,!but!still!look!
to!understand!all!aspects!of!a!situation!before!engaging.!!

extrovert!and!the!tranquility!of!the!introvert!in!a!cohesive!balance.!Together!these!images!
