graphic organizer. I will
hand out a blank graphic
organizer that is attached
on the final page of this
lesson plan. The center
will be red and
resembles a partner pass
and catch. The
surrounding boxes
represent the cues to a
partner pass and catch.
Each student will fill out
the graphic organizer
with the cues they
believe are correct.

Organization
Students will be sitting
in front of me as I hand
out the graphic
organizer.
At this point they will be

Students will have a
second chance to fill out
the graphic organizer at

practice drills.
Task 1: I will make
every student partner up
with each other and have
a partner pass and catch.
One student will have
the ball in hand and
other student will be
ready to receive the ball
from their partner. This
will help on receiving
the ball with hands and a
good progression to
passing.

Task 5: Closure: I will

end class by handing out
the graphic organizer a
second time. Now that
students have completed
the tasks above, they
will be more familiar
with the correct cues that
have been instructed
throughout class. Now
students will fill out the
graphic organizer a
second time. After
students fill in the
graphic organizer, I will
go over the answers on
the white board by
filling in the organizer
using the correct data.
The blank graphic
organizer is at the
bottom of the page and I
will add the answers
below.

Students will be sitting

in front of me as they fill
out the graphic organizer
a second time.
Now they will be
looking and listening to
me when I review the
answers to the organizer
on the white board.

Can your fill out the

graphic organizer with
complete details at the
end of class?

The center resembles a partner pass and catch. The surrounding boxes represent the cues to a partner pass and catch. The answers I
will be looking for surrounding the red box will include head up, focus on partner when throwing and receiving, throw from ear to hip,

step with lead foot, absorb the ball when caught above, at and below waist and hands positioned in front of body and open to receive
the ball.
