Economy has had a great impact during the last century all over the world,
nearly everything revolves around it. I think that economy has an immense
importance nowadays to everyone, anywhere because whether we like it or not,
it is economy that controls the people, even if the people are the ones who
control economy.
The way that I see it, people live, kill and die for money. It has taken so much
power that it has become really divisive in terms of society. It divides continents,
countries, cities and social classes, it defines everything. The wealthiest ones will
always be on top of the others no matter what and even if we open our minds to
a community of equality; the richest will be worth more than the ones lacking the
monetary resources.
To the majority of the people around the world, we can have a good life if we
possess abundant luxury, but is that really a good life? Economy covers the
possibility of having more, but is that really what matters? There are things that
we do need to cover with economy, like health and education. It may also include
fun and innumerable things that come along, such as home, clothing trends and
new watches, but so does it include suffering. Even surrounded by every
millionaire that pretends to be a friend, people get lonely.
We have become so blind to what is really important in life and we have lost the
meaning of living happily because we have craven too deep into possessing the
most and newest. It is hard to change people's minds when in such a short time
a human creation has taken control over humanity and yes, economy brings
some joy but what truly matters, money cannot buy.
