The article I found is a long 25 page article on the life development of Oskar Schindler.
The article is titled: The Moral Development of Oskar Schindler, and is written by Luitgard N.
Wundheiler. In the article the topics discussed start with a background history of schindlers life
and leads into deeper information showing truths behind why Schindler made the decisions in
life, or the reasons lading to why he made the choices he did.
The article begins with an abstract on Oskar Schindler. The abstract merely allows the
reader to glimpse into the life of a great man. It unfolds for the reader all the big life events
Schindler achieved by the time of his death. Next after the abstract comes the chronological
moral development of Schindlers life. As the author goes down the list from Schindlers
childhood to adulthood he addresses all events and situations that couldve occurred from the
facts and proof about Schindlers life that we have. The author does not choose sides or tell you
one idea is true and one is not, but simply dives into the life of Oskar Schindler and debates the
morality behind Schindlers choices based off of his past, present, and future endeavors.
There is an excerpt in the article that speaks about Schindler losing both of his parents
while being in a marriage he could hardly stand already around the time he joined the Nazi party.
When this happened schindler lost his main business trade from his father and lost the support of
his mother. In the article it doesnt say that this moment caused him to join the Nazi party, but
instead it discusses how the event affected his thoughts and decisions. I originally thought that

because of the loss of his family he joined the Nazi party because he no longer had ties to a
family life, but I was wrong. The article delightfully instead of proving me a hundred percent
wrong reveals later down the page that it was because his fathers business that schindler was to
take over to take care of his own family was gone when his father and him lost all contact that he
joined the Nazis for opportunistic advances and patriotism.
The way that this article is written is refreshing. Most information on Schindler is all
writing on the bigger things he did like save 1200 Jews or having illegitimate children, but this
article is different. In this article it speaks out facts and discusses them, it dives deeper into them
to solidify an answer behind the actions committed. It raises questions on if what Schindler did
was of sound logic or for personal means, and it decides based off of evidence if he deserved the
righteous gentile title he was given. The article takes the most common question ever asked
about the man Oskar Schindler and answers it. People want to know why he did what he did and
this article not only shows why he did what he did but shows how he did it, where he did it, who
he did it for, and why he did it.
This article is the most knowledgeable article Ive ever read on Oskar Schindler. It has a
vast amount of knowledge on the man that you cannot find from movies or short films. It opens
up his life and spills out much insight into the molding of an impure man with the purest of
intentions. To save the lives of others was Schindlers main objective, and this article gives you
not only the moral reasoning behind his decisions but the background history that happened
before them to pave the way for one of historys long gone but not forgotten heroes.
