Community Organizations Support One Another

WARRENTON, VA Feb. 15, 2015 Join Hospice Support of Fauquier County for two
community-centered events. Hospice Support of Fauquier County will attend Old Town
Warrenton Spring Festival Saturday, May 16, 9 a.m. 4 p.m. Hospice Support of Fauquier
County will also participate in the Delaplane Strawberry Festival May 23, and May 24 from 10
a.m. - 1 p.m. at Sky Meadows State Park Delaplane, Virginia for strawberries and family fun.

May 16, Hospice Support of Fauquier County will continue an ongoing tradition since 1982, and
attend the annual Old Town Warrenton Spring Festival. Support local artisans, receive free water
and play games with children at the Hospice Support booth.

Old Town Warrenton Spring Festival is a free event with artisans, crafters, food vendors, and
entertainers. For the past 35 years, downtown Warrenton has been providing fun, family friendly
events for community members. Support craftsmanship of locals and visit a variety of booths.

May 23, Executive Director Gil Brooker, and Maritta Gotz from Hospice Support of Fauquier
County will be volunteering at the Delaplane Strawberry Festival between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Both Hospice Support members will be in the hayride area directing flow of traffic, as well as
loading and unloading the wagon. Come say hello and give them a hand!

For $25 a car, family and friends can enjoy face painting, field games, dancing, as well as an
antique car show. Delaplane Strawberry Festival is sponsored by Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Proceeds fund outreach ministries within the church, as well as grants to community and state

About Hospice Support of Fauquier County
Hospice Support of Fauquier County was founded 1981 as a nonprofit, volunteer-based
organization. Hospice Support of Fauquier County provides non-medical supportive care to
terminally ill patients and families. Volunteers have 30 plus hours of training in order to assist
patients in living homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and in the patients homes to the best of their
ability.
