This PowerPoint was designed to educate the students
about the solar systems and the objects that makes
up the solar system. Within this interactive
PowerPoint the students will be educated about the;
sun, planets, asteroids, meteors, and comets. After
which they will complete an interactive quiz.

CONTENT FOR OBJECTIVE


The sun is the brightest and largest star , it is located at the
center of the solar system, it is by far the most important
source of energy. The moon is the second brightest object
in the solar system after the sun. A planet is a celestial
body moving in an elliptical (oval) orbit round the sun.
An asteroid is a small rocky body orbiting the sun. A
meteor is a small body of matter from outer space that
enters the earths atmosphere, becoming incandescent as
a result of friction and appearing as a streak of light.

Mercury the smallest planet and nearest to the sun
Venus the hottest planet
Earth the only planet sustainable for human life.
Mars known as the red planet
Jupiter the largest planet
Saturn the planet with the most ring
Uranus - the greenish-blue planet and the first to be discovered by a scientist.
Neptune the farthest planet from the sun and 4 th largest

SUMMARY
The solar system is made up of the sun, moons, planets, stars,
comets, meteors, asteroids, dwarf planet. The sun is the
center of the solar system. There are 8 planets in the solar
system, each planet have their own moon. Earth has two
moon. Jupiter is the largest planet, Saturn has the most rings.
Neptune is the farthest away from the sun. mercury is the
closest to the sun, however Venus is the hottest planet. Mars
is known as the red planet.
