EDUG 520 CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN


Statement of Purpose
Ms. Kelseys class is committed to a working partnership with parents, students and other classrooms.
The students will master academic skills appropriate to their potential in each academic discipline as well
as experience respect, responsibility and readiness while in the classroom.

Rules
Students will be able to show respect, responsibility and respect to others while at school.

RESPONSIBILITY: Students must be in your seat BEFORE the bell rings. When you exit the room, it
must look like it did before you came. Please respect your classroom.

READINESS: When students arrive, they need to be in possession of the supplies necessary for the day.

RESPECT: Everyone is to be respectful at all times. This means no talking when somebody else is,
staying in your seat unless permission had been given, and raising hands and waiting to be called on to
answer. Respect also refers to the attitude students display towards their classmates.

Listen when the teacher is talking
Keep your hands and feet to yourself
Follow all directions
Treat others how you want to be treated
Raise your hand if you have a question
Use inside voice when in the classroom

Procedures
Homework

Each student will receive one free homework pass per quarter.
It is your responsibility if you are absent to check the homework board for missed assignments.
When homework is collected it is your responsibility to turn it in, otherwise it is late.
Borrowing Supplies-

All students must be prepared for class with all supplies.


Trash-

Always raise your hand and get permission before getting out of your
seat to throw away trash. Also, use appropriate recycling containers.
Tissues-

Students may leave their desk at any time to get a tissue without
asking for prior permission.

Pencil Sharpener/Stapler/Three-Holed Punch

Always raise your hand and get permission before getting out of your
seat to use these items.
Textbooks-

Textbooks must be covered and brought to class on a daily basis.


Failure to do so will result in a loss of points.

Cell phones/Electronic Devices

Any cell phones or electronic devices which are heard in class will be

confiscated. There are no warnings. If you have any of these items,


they should be turned off during school hours.
Food and Drinks

Food is not permitted in class at any time. If you are standing at the
door and eating when the bell rings, you will be considered tardy.

Water is the only allowed beverage in class. It must be in a clear bottle


and have a cap on it when not in use.
Gum-

Gum is absolutely, positively not allowed!
