Professional Summary
I am a highly skilled, professional and motivated educator. My goal
is to instill the belief in students that they are capable and
intelligent learners. I am a self-starter who brings a lot of passion
and intellect to my role as a teacher. My career goal is to have my
own classroom filled with students that I can nurture and guide to
be the best versions of themselves. I enjoy teaching children of all
ages and abilities and particularly enjoy working with the special
needs students in my classroom. I love watching my students

During my four-week practicum I had a year 5, all boys class that I
taught full time for three of the four weeks of my practicum. I learnt
to manage and handle behavioral issues, develop positive and
professional relationship with students, use a range of teaching

In my role as a tutor at James An, I have a multi-age prep and year

students. I teach English to both students. At James An I work in a

with parents and am able to provide strategies for parents to
maximise their childs learning.
As a self-employer tutor I have 8 students who I tutor from year one
to year 6. As a result I have had experience teaching children of all
ages and with working with each year groups curriculum. All these
experiences I believe help me to be a better tutor and teacher.

My role was working with a range of students with special needs. I
assisted classrooms from kindergarten through to pathways
(equivalent year 12) with a range of intellectual disabilities with all
students being on the Autism spectrum. This experience taught me
strategies for educating non-verbal students. Working with non-

verbal students taught me the value of visual and sensory learning. I

learnt how to engage and educate students with limited language or
understanding.
