Professional Summary
I am a highly skilled, professional and motivated educator. My goal
is to instill the belief in students that they are capable and
intelligent learners. I am a self-starter who brings a lot of passion
and intellect to my role as a teacher. My career goal is to have my
own classroom filled with students that I can nurture and guide to
be the best versions of themselves. I enjoy teaching children of all
ages and abilities and particularly enjoy working with the special
needs students in my classroom. I love watching my students
blossom in front of me, particularly when teaching mathematics.

assist special needs students in the classroom. I have learnt how to
think quickly on my feet and adapt to the needs of the teacher and
the students. I became familiar with the curriculum through working
in classrooms of all year levels and learnt how to assist individual

Other Relevant Employment Experience

Nanny

Various families
Contribution:
Looking after and caring for children aged between 0 12 years.
Assisting with homework
Looking after childrens emotional and intellectual needs
Other domestic duties relevant to the childrens care
Being a nanny for the past three years has taught me how to
nurture and care for the children I look after. It has taught me
strategies for dealing with stubborn and unmotivated children. I
have learnt the value of positive encouragement and the value of
consistency. It is these experiences, skills and strategies, as a nanny
that I think will assist me in working with children.
Volunteer Work

St Vincent de Paul
This program helps refugees develop their English skills and settle in
to mainstream Australian society. My role as a volunteer consists of
working with a family of 4, educating the mother to help her pass

with in school.

2014
Mitchelton Special School
My role was working with a range of students with special needs. I
assisted classrooms from kindergarten through to pathways
(equivalent year 12) with a range of intellectual disabilities with all
students being on the Autism spectrum. This experience taught me
strategies for educating non-verbal students. Working with non-

verbal students taught me the value of visual and sensory learning. I

learnt how to engage and educate students with limited language or
understanding.
