Unit 3. Interactive Posters

CRITERION A. Inquiring and Analysing
Part 1. Problem and Need
1. Topics: Put an X beside the topic assigned to you.
Creating and using passwords

Digital footprint: Information and materials

that you leave online

Cyber-bullying

Phishing

Netiquette: Appropriate conduct online

Internet addiction and digital health

Copyright, Fair Use, Public Domain & Creative

Commons: Responsible use of online materials

Online safety and security

Identity theft

Social networks

2. In 1 paragraph, conduct a research and discuss what your topic is all about.

My topic is about Creative Commons and how responsible you have to be when you are online.
It is about the use of the pictures, images, videos or information people are taking off or copying from
the internet. How the these sites are made to take anything you want on the internet illegally. Creatice
commons gives you the right to take pictures of the internet but only if you give credt in the page you,re
going to put the picture or if you pay.

3. Discuss at least 3 reasons why there is a need to create an interactive poster for this topic.
a.

Because it helps people to get what they want on the internet

b.

It gives credit to other people that did the jb before an other person used his text, picture, image,
video, etc...

c.

And it makes the pictures, images, text, etc, legal for the users and preoducers.

Part 2. Analyzing existing products

Look for 3 online posters related to your topic: 1 outstanding poster, 1 average, 1 poorly done.
Compare these 3 online posters using your own criteria.

The content is good but

I think that it could be
better because it has
good detail but much
more could be added.

It has not such a good

content but I think that it
is good enough

The content is really bad I

think almost everything could
be improved.

The design is a little bit

plain but I personally
think that it is very
good.

The design is very cool

but it could have added
a little bit more detail. It
is very catchy I think
that is why i chose it.

The design is nice but it

doesn't have much color at
all, so that slo could be
improved,

C. Language use

The language is very

good and has good
vocabulary. It also
explains very well.

There is almost no
language use but it
does link to a site that
does give information
so it is good and bad at
the same time.

It has almost nothing that is

says, it has no explanation
and it gives almost no clue of
what its talking about. Only
the people who knows what
Creative Commons or
copyright is would
understand.

D.Utility

The utility is amazing

because if a lot of
people read the poster,
half of the readers will
agree, and some will
even stop

It is as well not very util

but at the same time it
is because on the
picture it does not have
lots of info but the site it
is linked to it does.

The utility is almost useless

because almost no one who
read it because it is not
catchy at all and you can see
that no information is written
down.

The access is very

good, it is on the first
pages or images that
you research. It is very
easy to find

It is not very easy to

find, I was struggling a
lot to find it and it was
not very good result at
the end.

I dont even know how I found

this one, I was just lucky to
find a very poor quality poster
about copyrighting.

Part IV. Design Brief

Note: Check out this example on how to write the Design Brief.
Write a Design Brief for your project.
A Design Brief answers the following questions:
What do you want to want to design and create? (Brief description of your project)
Who will use your product? (Target audience or intended users)

How will your target audience or intended users benefit from your product? (Purpose of
your product)

I want to create and paste pictures on a paper posters that are related to tellegami and Aurasma. When you are
going to point and ipad with the app tellegami or aurasma a digital #D picture is going to appear on the ipad. It is
going to be like a small movie talking or explaining about copywriting and Creative commons. My target audience
is all the students that see my project. I want them to like my poster and take an example and do something in a
new way that can help them in the future. As I said before they are going to use my product in future classes,
grades and possibly even in their future jobs if its related. It will help them and it will make me happy because I will
have taught something new to one of my friends.
