Schemes (SPS)
A System Protection Scheme (SPS) or Remedial
Action Scheme (RAS) is designed to detect
abnormal
system
conditions
and
take
predetermined, corrective action (other than the
isolation of faulted elements) to preserve system
integrity
and
provide
acceptable
system
