ABOUT --- PADMAM EDUCATION CENTER

Padmam Technologies is an IT/ITES based company, a Spet Venture


Initiative, has the mission of bridging the digital divide between rural and
urban India, and to reduce the gap between skilled workforce demand and
supply in modern India. Padmam Technologies operates from Chennai and
established rural development centre at Achempatti village in Tiralli
Panchayat
in Tirumangalam taluk,Madurai district to cover near by
villages.

With a view to ensure inclusion of the rural poor in the growth process, the
company has taken up this village as model venture to motivate ,train
and provide employment skill to reach or obtain sustainable level of
income over a period of time. Under this scheme ,our institute has visited
about 20 villages between Alampatti to Sedapatti areas(ie) 20kms and
encouraged
rural
unemployed
,under
employed,
school
drop
outs/discontinued youths and girls and women to participate in our basic
computer learning skills .

The result was so encouraging and people have shown interest in acquiring
skills in computer and IT based programmes. Institute has so far given
training to 100 peoples including 25 house wife's and arranged job
opportunities to 10 peoples .

Instructions were given to our students and counselors for the


Village Meet program -To motivate and guide the importance of IT
education to the rural masses.

We have visited about 20 villages , contacted

each and every house holders ,explained the need of


computer

education

in

this

digital

area.

The

response was amazing and each people are interest


in learning computer operation.

About 300 to 400 peoples have enrolled with us

and

given

their

consent

to

participate

in

this

program during our visit to the villages.

Last one year about 100 peoples have learned

various computer courses and 25 house wife's are


familiar with computer operations and typing skills
Our institute has also taught Spoken English and
Essay Writing for school children
