Student Learning Outcomes Components of a Measurable Outcome: Who (Students), Behavior (Measurable Verb), Content (What are they learning?), Condition (What are you providing the students to help them accomplish this
goal?), Criteria (Number or measurable component)

Cognitive: The students will demonstrate their knowledge in proper throwing technique by being able to explain the different
types of throwing and the cues they have learned, after having practiced the different types of throws and technique.

Psychomotor: The students will demonstrate the ability to perform the proper throwing technique while participating in the
activities after having seen a demonstration.

Affective: The students will appreciate the technique of throwing and being able to analyze another students throwing ability.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________
Pre-Assessment: The students will have a basic understanding of throwing. We will work on proper form and technique while
throwing both underhand and overhand. We foresee some of the students having difficulties in stepping with opposition or
using proper arm techniques in the throwing motion. We may need to use cues and demonstration to remind the students
proper form. The students will also practice their dodging, fleeing and chasing skills.

Ask the
students, If I

crayon and
asked you to
draw a dog,
what hand
would you

that hand

on today?
What does it
mean to be a

Why is it
important to
play and run?

Assessment of Activities/Lesson: The lesson should go smoothly. The games are fairly simple in detail and rules so it should not
be a problem for the students to understand. We are allowing the students time to work on both cardio and manipulative skills,
with manipulative skills being the focus of the lesson plan. Each game or activity is age appropriate.

Accommodations Needed for Lesson: We may need to work individually with some of the younger students or offer more
guidance. Varied equipment such as larger or softer balls may also be necessary. Instruction will need to be specific and simple
for some.
