Students will analyze Renaissance art from various regions of the world.

1) Students will understand the difference in art from various regions of the
world during the Renaissance era.
2) Students will understand the difference in the view of man (and woman)
across different regions of the globe.

1) How did geographical region shape humanistic ideals?
2) How did Renaissance art progress world societies?
3) What was the role of religion in Renaissance artwork?
CONTENT OBJECTIVES:
1) Students will analyze Renaissance art between various geographical regions.
2) Students will develop art skills related to the Renaissance.
3) Students will understand the Renaissance movement developed in Italy, and
was spread throughout the world.
SKILL OBJECTIVES:
1) Students will expand on their artistic skills in reference to historical art.
2) Students will advance their knowledge on Renaissance art.
3) Students will critique Renaissance art from different regions of the world.

DESCRIPTION OF WHAT YOU AS AN INSTRUCTOR NEED TO KNOW TO
TEACH THIS LESSON (be specific):
1) Instructor must have an understanding about the Renaissance era, specifically
the art. It is crucial for the instructor to emphasis the difference in art between
regions. In the classical Renaissance era art in Italy, the focus was placed on
the ideal human. However these ideals were shaped by the society, politics,
and religion of the time. The goal of the lesson is for students to understand
why art from different regions of the world differed.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS:
1) The instructor will provide different art pieces from the Renaissance from
across the globe.
2) The instructor will also provide blank paper, and writing materials for students
to recreate the art of the Renaissance era.
USE OF TECHNOLOGY: For this presentation, students will receive a brief
background of the Renaissance era via a prezi presented by the instructor. The prezi will
explain what was happing socially, politically, and religiously in different societies across
the globe.
USE OF INQUIRY:
1) How did art shape societies across the globe?
2) Why was art different in various regions of the world during the Renaissance
era?

ACCOMMODATIONS:
1) Auditory, visual, and technical learners will be accommodated in the
instruction of this lesson. Auditory learners will gain an understanding of the
background era. Visual learners will appreciate the use of pictures to describe
artwork in different regions of the earth. Finally, technical learners will be
able to use their artistic talents to depict the artwork of the Renaissance era.
LESSON OUTLINE AND DESCRIPTION OF STRATEGIES: Briefly describe your
lesson and the strategies that you will be using.
STEP BY STEP SEQUENCE OF DAILY PLAN:
1) 5 minutes:
a. Learners will receive brief instruction on the Renaissance era, and the
role art played during this time period.
2) 5 minutes:
a. Learners will view art from various regions of the earth during the
Renaissance era, and be able to distinguish differences between both

the art and the artists.


3) 5 minutes:
a. Learners will how geographical regions social, political, and religious
ideals shaped Renaissance art.
