Question on Line item display.

Q)This question has been Answered.


Can anyone answer this please.,
Since line item display takes additional system resources, we should use it if there is no
other way of looking at the line items. Which one of the line item display should not be
activated to free up system resources.
a) P & L statement
b) Reconciliation
c) Revenue
d) Material stock
e) Tax

A1)Hi, From the list provided, only P&L should be line item displayed. Rest all should not be
marked as Line item display.
1. Reconciliation: As such the same can be tracked via sub-ledger.
2. Revenue comes from Sales.
3. Material stock can be traced from Plant.
4. Tax are referred from the tax register.

Hi Valar
You can activate line item display for the following accounts.
a) P & L statement
b) Cash, Bank Accounts and any other clearing Accounts.

Hello
A3) Do not activate LI management for Asset / Customer / Vendor accounts. They have
subsidiary ledgers from which you could get detailed list.
SAP does not encourage this.
For all other accounts, you could activate line item management.
