Wearegoingtoplayamathematicalgamethatrequiresallofusto
worktogether.Itiscalledthehumancoordinateplane.Eachof
youwillgetanindexcard.YourcardeitherhasanXoraYanda
number.Whenyougetyourcard,readtheletterandnumberthat
youhave.Onepersonhasacardthatsays(0,0)andthisperson
willbecalledtheOrigin.
Now,itisveryimportantthatyoulistenfordirections.(Project
directions).
Yourjobistoworkasateamtolineupinorder.Theoriginwill
standinthiscornermarkedOrigin.IfyouhaveanXcard,youwill
lineupalongthisline,whichwewillcalltheXAxis,goingfromleast
togreatest.IfyouhaveaYcard,youwilllineupalongthisline,
whichwewillcalltheYAxis,goingfromleasttogreatest.

worktogetherandcommunicatewitheachother.Letsstartby

recyclablematerialsfromwhichtobuildourcities.Youwilldomostofthebuildingat
home,butwillbegivensometimetoworkduringclass.Pleasebegincollecting
