Relocation is the last resort
Part of a staged response

LILYDALE HIGH SCHOOL RELOCATION PROCESS

Teacher has followed the Classroom Management Guidelines


and the students behaviour requires that the student be
relocated from class.

Teacher fills out Relocation Slip and sends student to Subschool Assistant.

At the Sub-school Assistant:


Students name is recorded
Student is issued with a Relocation to Class card
Student is provided with a Relocation Contract
Text sent to Parent/Guardian

Student completes relocation
correctly.

Student misbehaves in relocation room OR the


Student fails to attend the relocation room.

Teacher meets with the student


according to the agreed process.

Year Level Coordinator or Assistant

satisfactory.

Parents/carers contacted by Year Level


Coordinator. Follow up meeting
arranged between, student, teacher
and Level Coordinator (and possibly
parents/ carers).

A Student who is relocated twice in one day or relocated three or


more times in one week, will be dealt with by a Year Level
Coordinator. Parents/ carers will be contacted as well as the
relocating teachers.

If Student behaviour
persists referral to an
Assistant Principal.

Using the Relocation


Process

Complete relocation slip and send with


student to sub-school

Slip must include a time and place (usually your


staffroom) nominated by you, to meet with the student
to discuss their behaviour.

Email sub-school assistant at earliest


opportunity outlining what occurred
Meet with student at nominated time
Discuss contract with them
Sign and return contract to student
