Im going to introduce you to just the very basics of notation

Students watching to see different types of drum


notation
Three students each have a go at clapping drum
rhythm.

Introduce drum clef, and basic notation and types of drums


available in drum kit by writing on white board.
Teacher to draw up rhythm for class.
Ask three students to each clap one part of the rhythm so
that the rest of the class can see how drum notation fits
together
Students to have a go with writing a small drum motif
