Nashville, TennesseeNatural & Built Landscapes:

Cheekwood-Art & Gardens is a museum featuring permanent and traveling exhibits


of 19th and 20th century art with manicure gardens.
Art:

The Music City Walk of Fame in downtown Nashville was established in 2006 and its
grown to include nearly 50 names.

Culture & Heritage:

Fort Negley Park is a Civil War education and outdoor recreation center with
interactive exhibits and self-guided tours. It promotes a greater understanding of
the social, political, and military forces central to Nashville and Middle Tennessee
during the era of sectional conflict in American history.
Health:

Nashville is the health-care capital of the U.S., home to some 300 health-related
companies. Vanderbilt University Medical Center is the number one hospital in
Tennessee and ranked nationally in 6 adult and 9 pediatric specialties.

Innovative Architecture:

Located in Nashvilles Centennial Park is this full-scale replica of the Parthenon, built
to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Tennessees statehood. Home to many colleges
and universities, Nashvilles reputation as the Athens of the South, sparked the
idea for the replica.
Close Community:

Grand Ole Opry is country musics most famous stage, where the weekly
performances have been going strong since 1925. Big-time names such as the Dixie
Chicks, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts have performed here.

Environment:

Nashville is a fast-growing city with a promising economic future. Urban Green Lab
is Nashvilles nonprofit dedicated to improving well-being through sustainable living.
Hard Working:

The Tennessee State Capitol is a fine example of Greek Revival architecture that
includes four ionic porticos and a simple, well-proportioned interior. It was built in
1845-1859 under the direction of the noted architect William Strickland. Now it is
home of the Tennessee legislature, the location of the governors office, and a
National Historic Landmark.

Infrastructure:

Study ranks Tennessees transportation and infrastructure 5 th in the nation.


Education:

The city has more than two dozen higher education institutions including the
renowned Vanderbilt University. This is a private institution that was founded in
1873 and is now ranked in 2015 as number 16 of national universities.
