In your position, 'm sure you see the pressure students are under from. our society and their peers. ‘To highlight SAFE STUDENTS, the Caring for Our Community campaign wants to convey a message of safety and smart choices to students, from students, We would like to feature members of your student body in a commercial focused on making smart choices (don't text and drive, don't do drugs, etx). The commercial would be videotaped at your school and we would need 4-5 students to take part in the production, We will select schools at random. In our small, rural school district we Ihave wo groups which are dedicated to raising awareness and helping students make smart decisions when faced with 2 vatery of challenge. Several students in grades 10-12 are very active in our Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D) group whose primary focus isto encourage the student body to make positive decisions. The other, equally active group, ea smal gathering of juniors who workin conjunction ‘with Operation Keepsake. This "Peet Leadership Council has been very active ove the past to pears and thas made ao anti-bullying video which focused on how to help if you witness bullying ae a bystinder or as a fiend. On Sunday, April 14, 2013 the Peer Leadership Council also hosted a large eveat to help rise awareness of teil effects caused by cyber bullying. The fit annual, "Toss Out Bullying” corn hole rourmameat was a successful adventure rising not only awareness but also close to $200 to be reinvested in future anti-bullying and positive decision making eampaigas. Tam sure that you have received quite afew nominations from schools that would lke to take part in this -wonderfal opportunity.
