EFFECTIVE

COMMUNICATOR
BY: MARIE PARCHE

6 T H GRADE
Not as great as I thought I was.
I had trouble communicating.
I had hit the ground hard. At least the impact of
the fall was softened by white, untouched snow.
When I looked around, I could have been in the ice
age, I was in the ice age.

7 T H GRADE
I learned a lot and became a better writer.
The earth felt warm, moist, and almost alive under me.
I opened my eyesonly to find my grave staring at me.I
felt dizzy, but I wasnt dead, butthere, right before my
eyes was my grave.I stared hard at the barrenstone and
leaves isolated inthe callous forest. I climbed out of
thegrave. I did not know where I wasor what had
happened. All I knew was that I wasnt dead.

8 T H GRADE
I have learned even more and bettered my skills.
I am now a much better communicator.
I know I will look back at what I have and I will keep improving.
Calm down? My fianc has just been in an accident, shes
unconscious, I dont know if shes okay! What if when she wakes up, Im
not there? What if shes not okay, what if what if she cant see me
beforeforget it. I try to fight my way through the crowd of nurses, but
cant. I am aware that everyone is staring at me, but I couldnt care less.
Tears start forming in my eyes because of the sheer amount of emotion,
Im angry and scared and I just want to see Sarah.

IN THE END
I have learned a lot of useful communicating skills
I have gone from an awkward communicator on
and off the page to a more confident and more
skilled communicator.
