Exodus 19:20 The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the
mountain. So Moses went up 21 and the LORD said to him, "Go down and warn the people so they do not
force their way through to see the LORD and many of them perish. 22 Even the priests, who approach the
LORD, must consecrate themselves, or the LORD will break out against them." 23 Moses said to the
LORD, "The people cannot come up Mount Sinai, because you yourself warned us, 'Put limits around the
mountain and set it apart as holy.' "24 The LORD replied, "Go down and bring Aaron up with you. But the
priests and the people must not force their way through to come up to the LORD, or he will break out
against them."
Vs21 If the people had forced their way through they would have seen the LORD but would have died from it.
Vs22 It is unclear how far the priests could go if they were consecrated.
Vs24 It is unclear what it means that the LORD will break out against them.
Exodus 20:19 and said to Moses, "You speak to us, and we will listen, but do not let God speak to us, lest
we die."
The people thought that if God spoke with them, they would die.
Exodus 33:20 But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live." 21 Then the LORD
said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory (H3519/Kabowd) passes
by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will
remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen."
The LORD God spoke to Moses and said, "no one may see me and live."
Leviticus 10:1 Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron offered unauthorized fire before the LORD
Vs2 and fire came out from before the LORD and consumed them and they died before the LORD
Leviticus 16:1 the two sons of Aaron, when they drew near before the LORD and died
vs2 Aaron not to come before the mercy seat so that he may not die. I will appear in the cloud over the seat
Aarons sons died when they saw the mercy seat
Deuteronomy 5:24 This day we have seen God speak with man, and man still live
These people expected Moses to die because he had spoken with God.
Nothing here says Moses saw Gods face.
Judges 6:22-23 With the tip of the staff that was in his hand, the angel of the LORD touched the meat and
the unleavened bread. Fire flared from the rock, consuming the meat and the bread. And the angel of the
LORD disappeared. 22 When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the LORD, he exclaimed, "Ah,
Sovereign LORD! I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face!"
23
But the LORD said to him, "Peace! Do not be afraid. You are not going to die."
The LORD said you won't die for seeing the angel of the LORD face to face.
It seems that Gideon did not see the LORDs face, or perhaps he did and he was given an exception.
Judges 13:22"We are doomed to die!" he said to his wife. "We have seen God!"
Micah says he is going to die for seeing God, although it was in fact the angel of the LORD
Summary:
Genesis 32:30
Exodus 19:20
Exodus 20:19
Exodus 33:20
Leviticus 16:1
Deuteronomy 5:24
Judges 6:22
Judges 13:22
the sons of Aaron drew near before the LORD and died
These people expected Moses to die because he had spoken with God
the angel of the LORD, or the LORD, said you are not going to die for seeing him.
we are doomed to die because we have seen God
The general viewpoint of the people of the OT, from these eight passages, was that if they saw the LORD God they
would die.
The question is, if Jesus is God when in time does the bible say that people dont die if they see God?
voice
Jesus said "you have never heard the Father's voice or seen his form." If no one has ever seen the Father, then Jesus
cannot be the Father who is God.
Some might argue, we haven't seen God the Father which is different. See John 20:17 answers this when it says
I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.
It also seems strange that the Father testified, if no one has heard Him. What about Luke 9:35 where God says "this
is my son"? This is the Father testifying!
Perhaps these statements by Jesus applied to the Jews he was speaking to.
There is definitely some confusion here, however the point is Jesus says those people have not seen the Father.
John 6:46 No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father.
No one has seen the Father except Jesus.
Jesus is from God.
1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in
you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5They are from the world and therefore speak from
the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows
God listens to us;
Paul said the disciples are from God, and the we in vs. shows Paul was from God. Also John the Baptist in
John 1:6.
People are of God. 1 Samuel 9:6 & 10, Samuel. 1 Kings 12:22 Shemiah 1 Kings 17:24 Elijah etc
Jesus is of God, he is the Son of God.
People are from God, and of God, yet they have not seen the Father.
Jesus is from God, and of God, and has seen Father.
My understanding is that Jesus is from and of God in a different way! Perhaps because he was with God and of God
before coming to the earth. Perhaps the disciples position changed between John 6:46 and 1 John 4:4.
Jesus tells us that he is the exception and that only he has seen the Father.
No One Has Seen God
Jesus said you have never heard the Father's voice or seen his form
no one has ever seen the Father, except Jesus. Jesus is from God.
We, like Jesus, are from God and of God
John 1:18
Colossians 1:15
1 Timothy 1:17
1 Timothy 6:13-16
1 John 4:12
1 John 4:20
As per Samuel, Psalms, Isaiah, Habakkuk and Jonah, the LORD God has a heavenly temple where he was and is
1300 BC: the LORD says "I will come to you and bless you" (to Moses)
1300 BC: the LORD said "and I will come down and talk with you" (to Moses)
1300 BC: Balaam wonders if the LORD will come to meet him. (to Balaam)
722 BC: The LORD will come to us.
These four passages say God would be coming and in each instance and in some way God did come.
The timing is never specifically identified however it seemed to have usually happened in some way either
immediately after, or within a few years.
None of these prophectic scriptures of God's coming are waiting to be fulfilled.
Isaiah 31:4 For thus the LORD said to me, as a lion or a young lion growls over his prey, and when a band
of shepherds is called out against him he is not terrified by their shouting or daunted at their noise, so the
LORD of hosts will come down to fight on Mount Zion an on its hill.
The LORD will come down to fight on Mount Zion against the Assyrians according to vs8 who will fall by a sword
not of man. The fulfillment comes in Isaiah 37:36 when the angel of the LORD struck down 185,000 of the Assyrian
soldiers.
So although this passage says God will come it was the angel that came in this instance.
Isaiah 35:4-6 Say to those who have an anxious heart, "Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come
with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped;
6 then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in
the wilderness, and streams in the desert;
700 BC approx.
Isaiah is talking to the people and says of God He will come and save you.
This entire chapter, and more, was written in regard to the Nation of Israel who were being held in Babylonian
captivity and how God would rescue them from their captivity as he had at the Exodus from Pharoah.
The fulfillment comes in 538BC approx in Isaiah 44:28 - 45:1 when Cyrus the Great the King of Persia, who is God's
anointed and God's shepherd comes on God's behalf. It is written in detail throughout the book of Ezra
The titles of King and anointed were also given to Saul and David.
So although this passage says God will come, it was King Cyrus who came in this instance.
In the NT it was Jesus who came and fulfilled vs5-6 for God just as Cyrus had he also had the titles of King, anointed
and shepherd.
Jeremiah 11:22 thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will punish them. The young men shall die by the
sword, their sons and their daughters shall dies by famine,
23 and none of them shall be left. For I will bring disaster upon the men of Anathoth, the year of their
punishment.
655-586 BC approx
vs22 God says behold I will punish them. The young men will die by the sword.
Just as the people had earlier plotted Jeremiah's murder, they would now die instead.
God did not physically put the sword into people rather he influenced Nebuchadnezzar the Babylonian King, the
King of the Chaldean Army to do it for him as per Jeremiah 32:5..
Vs23 Anathoth is no more so whatever was going to happen has already happened.
So although this passage says that God would punish people he did not come and do it personally rather, he had
Nebuchadnezzar the Babylonian King, the King of the Chaldean Army to do it for Him.
Micah 1:3 For behold, the LORD is coming out of his place, and will come down and tread upon the high
places of the earth
740-670 BC approx
vs3 The LORD is coming out of his place.
vs5 The "high place" is Jerusalem.
Ch 2:3 God is devising disaster
3:12 Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed as a field; Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins,
This happened in 701BC when Sennacherib's Assyrian army destroyed 46 (Bible Knowledge Commentary) towns in
Judah and surrounded Jerusalem 2 Kings 18-19
So although this passage says God will come, it was Sennacherib's Assyrian army who came in this instance.
Summary:
Isaiah 31:4
Isaiah 35:4
Jeremiah 11:22
Micah 1:3
700 BC: The LORD will come down to fight on Mount Zion
700 BC: God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God, come and save you
600 BC: I will punish them. The young men shall die by the sword,
700 BC: The LORD is coming out of his place, will come down and tread on earthly places
These four passages are different from Part 3A in that they say God would be coming but he actually sent other
people in his stead in each instance. God had representitives do His work. There is more detail of how each prophecy
was fulfilled and who came in his stead in Part 4A2.
None of these prophectic scriptures of God's coming are waiting to be fulfilled.
The coming of God's glory seemed to be happening from 39:21 onwards and is confirmed in Ezekiel 43 which is in
the fulfillments in Part 4B.
Summary:
Exodus 16:7
Leviticus 9:6
Numbers 14:21
Isaiah 40:5
Isaiah 66:18
Ezekiel 39:21
1300 BC: Aaron would see the glory, the next day.
1300 BC: The glory will appear to Aaron, it came it vs23 which was within the hour
1300 BC: The earth would be filled with glory.
700 BC: The glory shall be revealed, it appeared in Isaiah 60:1-2
700 BC: Those that see God's glory would be sent to Tarshish which no longer exists
600 BC: The glory would be seen after this point
700 BC: They shall see the glory, fulfilled in Isaiah 37:26
600 BC: God would manifest his glory in the peoples midst
600 BC: On a certain day God will show his glory
The fulfillments of each of these three prophecies when people will see God's glory can be seen in Part 4B2 where
God's glory was represented by or in people.
None of these prophectic scriptures of God's glory coming are waiting to be fulfilled.
Exodus 29:42-46 It shall be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent
of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there.
43
There I will meet with the people of Israel, and it shall be sanctified by my glory (H3519/Kabowd)
44
I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar. Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate to serve me as
priests.
45
I will dwell among the people of Israel and will be their God
46
And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt that I
might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.
Vs42 The LORD God will meet and speak to the people in the tent of meeting
Vs43 The LORD God will meet in the tent
Vs45 The LORD God will dwell among the people of that time
Vs46 God brought the people from Egypt that he might dwell among them at that time.
1300 BC:
1 Kings 8:10 And when the priests came out of the Holy Place, a cloud filled the house of the LORD
11
so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory (H3519/Kabowd) of the
LORD filled the house of the LORD.
12
Then Solomon said, The LORD has said that he would dwell in thick darkness.
13
I have indeed built you an exalted house, a place for you to dwell in forever
27
But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how
much less this house that I have built.
The moving of the Arc of the Covenant to the Tent of Meeting
Vs11 The glory of God filled the house
Vs12 The LORD will dwell in thick darkness and had often appeared in a cloud
Vs13 Solomon built a house for God to dwell in
Vs27 Solomon realizes that God doesn't really dwell on the earth. God cannot dwell in a house.
Summary:
Exodus 29:42-46
1300 BC: The LORD God intends to meet and speak to the people in the tent of meeting
1 Kings 8:10-13
950 BC: God was coming to dwell in the house that Solomon had built
Dates are approximate.
God will dwell/live in a house/tent of meeting
Solomon realizes that God doesn't dwell in houses as heaven cannot contain him.
There are no passages in Part 4C to fulfill these two passages, however in Part 4D there are many that reveal God's
glory living in a building.

There is a large amount of scriptures that God to appeared to many including Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses,
Solomon, Job and others.
Several passages in Part 1 and Part 2 say no one has seen God, nor can they see God and live. So the question is what
happened in the OT? What were the people looking at? Personally, I don't know.
It is interesting to note that of all times God came to these people it was only in the case of Moses and Solomon
where there was a previous prophecy which later became fulfilled. These were identified in Part 3A.
Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue
nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be
closed:
45:1
Isaiah 37:36
Isaiah 44:28
Isaiah 32-39
Micah 1:3 The LORD will be coming, fulfilled when the Assyrian army came in
2 kings 18-19
Here are four major instances when the LORD God said he was coming but had a representative, or many, come on
His behalf.
Psalm 102:16 For the LORD builds up Zion, he appears in his glory (H3519/Kabowd)
he regards the prayer of the destitute and does not despise their prayer
The LORD appears in his glory
Ezekiel 3:23 and behold, the glory (H3519/Kabowd) of the LORD stood there, like the glory that I had seen
by the Chebar canal, and I fell on my face.
The glory of the LORD stood there
Ezekiel 11:22 Then the cherubim lifted up their wings, with the wheels besides them, and the glory
(H3519/Kabowd) of the God of Israel was over them.
The glory of the God of Israel was over them.
Ezekiel 11:23 and the glory (H3519/Kabowd) of the LORD went up from the midst of the city an stood on
the mountain that is on the east side of the city
The glory of the LORD stood on the mountain
Ezekiel 43:2 And behold, the glory (H3519/Kabowd) of the God of Israel was coming from the East
The glory of the LORD came from the East, it enters the temple in vs4
This fulfilled the prophecies from Ezekiel 28 and 39
Acts 7:2 The God of glory (G1391/Doxa) appeared to our father Abraham
Abraham saw the glory of the LORD

The glory of the LORD God came and appeared to many, including these thirteen passages, on numerous different
occasions.
Ezekiel 32:30 confirms that the Sidonians, referred to in 28:22, had been put to the sword.
So although the LORD God wasnt actually there, he was represented through the armies that won particular battles in
which the Sidonians were the loosers.
Ezekiel 39:13 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land.
13 All the people of the land will bury them, and it will bring them renown on the day that I show my glory,
(H3513/Kabad) declares the Lord GOD.
On a certain day God will show his glory. This happened within seven months during the burying of the dead.
It is unclear if God came or if the clean up operation, done by men, was the revelation of God's glory.
Summary:
Ezekiel 28:22 God would send blood into their streets, fulfilled when the Sidonians died in
Ezekiel 39:13 God would show His glory, perhaps fulfilled during the clean up operation.
Ezekiel 32:30
God said he would manifest or show his glory and did so through these people.

5
the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the
temple.
Vs4 The glory of the LORD entered the temple
Vs5 The glory of the LORD filled the temple
This fulfills the predictions from Ezekiel 28:22 and 39:13
Ezekiel 44:4 and behold the glory (H3519/Kabowd) of the LORD filled the temple
The glory filled the temple
This fulfills the predictions from Ezekiel 28:22 and 39:13

The glory of the LORD God filled various places including tabernacles, houses, temples, courts. Most of them
fulfilling earlier prophecies.
Vs7 This is the place where the LORD will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever
Vs9 The LORD God will dwell in their midst forever
This seems to say that from that point forward the LORD God would be dwelling/living among the people.
Psalm 68:7-16 O God when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness
16
Why do you look with hatred, O many peaked mountain, at the mount that God desired for his abode, yes,
where the LORD will dwell forever?
17
The chariots of God are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord (H136) is among them,
Vs7 God marched in the wilderness
Vs16 The LORD God will dwell in his abode forever
Vs16 The mount that God dwells in is Jerusalem ( Zechariah 8:3)
Vs17 The Lord God is among the people
Psalm 132:13-14 For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place.
14
This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
Vs13 God has desired to live in Jerusalem
Vs14 God will rest in Jerusalem forever, He will dwell there.
It seems to imply from that point in time onwards.
Zechariah 8:3 Thus says the LORD: I have returned to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and
Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts, the holy mountain.
Vs3 The LORD God says "I have returned," is a fulfillment of the prophecy when He said "I will come."
In 2:10-11 God said he would come and then He would dwell in their midst
In 8:3
God said I have returned, and is about to dwell in their midst
Vs3 Jerusalem shall be called the holy mountain
Summary:
Exodus 20:20-21
1350 BC: God was in the thick darkness where Moses went to speak to him.
Exodus 43:6-9
1350 BC: the LORD God will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever

These passages say that God was living among, and would live among, the people from then onwards.
Isaiah 48:11 Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who came from the
waters of Judah, who swear by the name of the LORD and confess the God of Israel, but not in truth or right
5 I declared them to you from of old, before they came to pass I announced them to you, lest you should say,
My idol did them, my carved image and my metal image commanded them.
8 You have never heard, you have never known, from of old your ear has not been opened. For I knew that
you would surely deal treacherously, and that from before birth you were called a rebel.
9 For my names sake I defer my anger, for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you, that I may not cut you
off.
11 For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, for how should my name be profaned? My glory
(Kabod/H3519) I will not give to another.
Vs1 The people swear by the name of the LORD, but not in truth or right.
Vs5 God reminds the people that he prophesied various events but the people would be acknowledging idols for it.
Vs8 God knew that the people were rebels against Him.
Vs9 God is close to cutting the people off, but restrains himself.
Vs11 God restrains Himself for His own sake, He will not give his glory to the idols. In some way meaning that if he
left the people they would follow the idols even more.
Summary:
Isaiah 42:8 The LORD God will not give his glory to another.
The LORD God will not give His praise to carved idols.
The point of these two statements is to tell the people that He is the only God, not any other idols.
Isaiah 48:11 God would not give his glory to another, meaning the idols.
It is my opinion that these passages are often misunderstood. It is my belief that God is saying he will not give his
glory to "another" meaning a so called god or idol. He cannot mean He wont give His glory to other people because
of the amount of passages where he does give his glory to other people including Jesus. Those passages are
overwhelming and will be shown later in Parts 5B-D.
Zion,
Vs12
Vs13 The country of Israel is for Gods glory
Summary:
Isaiah 43:7 God created people for His glory,
Isaiah 46:13 The country of Israel is for Gods glory
The LORD God has done, in some way, everything for his own glory. These are just two statements in an overriding
theme.
Summary:
Daniel 7:13
John 8:43
Heb 1:3
Heb 2:7
Heb 2:9
Heb 3:3
1 Peter 1:21
2 Peter 1:17
Rev 5:12
Clearly on at least these nine occasions, God gave his glory to Jesus
Isaiah 60:2
John 5:44
John 7:18
Romans 2:7
Romans 5:2
Colossians 1:27
Colossians 3:4
1 Peter 5:4
Clearly on these thirteen occasions, people already had God's glory, should seek God's glory, or would be given God's
glory at a later date.
Part 5E Empty
Part 5F God In His NT Church Temple
Fulfilling the OT prophecies, God is coming to his earthly temple/Church.
In the OT it was a physical building, now it will be a spiritual physical building.
Jesus the Temple
Mathew 12:5-8 Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the
Sabbath and are guiltless?
6 I tell you, something greater than the temple is here.
7 And if you had known what this means, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned
the guiltless.
8 For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.
Jesus tells the Pharisees, "something greater than the temple is here"
John 2:18-21 So the Jews said to him, What sign do you show us for doing these things?
19 Jesus answered them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 The Jews then said, It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three
days?
21 But he was speaking about the temple of his body
Jesus said "destroy the temple and in three days I will raise it up"
Mathew 26:61 and said, This man said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three
days.
In front of the High Priest, people quoting Jesus saying he would destroy the temple
Mark 14:57 And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying,
58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build
another, not made with hands.
59Yet even about this their testimony did not agree.
In front of the High Priest, people quoting Jesus saying he would destroy the temple
Mathew 27:39 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads
40 and saying, You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the
Son of God, come down from the cross.
On the cross, people are quoting Jesus saying he would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days.
Mark 15:29 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads and saying, Aha! You who would
destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days
On the cross, people are quoting Jesus saying he would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days
The End of the Old Temple:
Luke 23:44 It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, 45
while the suns light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
46 Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, Father, into your hands I commit my spirit! And having
said this he breathed his last
Also Matthew 27:51 and Mark 15:38
Vs45 If it was the outer curtain then it was a public sign confirming Jesus' words of judgment on the temple, later
confirmed in 70AD when the temple in Jerusalem was razed. This is to signify the old way of accessing God through
the temples, altars, and priests, was replaced by Jesus.
Vs45 If it was the inner curtain it signified the end for any need of sacrifice, atonement and blood all of which Jesus
has now provided. Jesus provided direct access to God which the old covenant curtain had done.
That the curtain ripped from the top downwards shows it was God who ripped it, not men who would have started
from the bottom and worked upwards.
Personally I think it was either both curtains or the most significant curtain.
Parallels:
The dividing curtain which separated/linked people from God and Jesus were both torn in two.
This may have a relationship with Ezekiel 8-11 and the fall of the temple in the Babylonian era.
The New Temple/Church:
1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are Gods temple and that Gods Spirit dwells in you?
17 If
anyone destroys Gods temple, God will destroy him. For Gods temple is holy, and you are that
temple.
Vs16 The people of the Church are God's temple and God's Spirit lives/dwells in them.
Vs17 Each disciple is Gods holy temple.
2 Corinthians 6:15-18 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an
unbeliever?
16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,
I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my
people.
17 Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing;
then I will welcome you,
18 and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.
Vs16 The people/disciples of the Church, then and now, are the temple of the living God
Vs16 Quoting God from the OT 1 Kings 6:11-13, Zechariah 2:10-11, Zechariah 8:3, also in Revelation 21:3
Vs17-18 A partial description of what it means to be God's temple.
Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the
household of God,
20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.
22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit
Vs19 The disciples are members of the household of God
Vs20 The prophets and apostles are the foundation, Jesus is the cornerstone. When creating a physical structure the
foundations are put in place first followed by the laying of the first stone, the cornerstone.
Vs21The whole structure is the body of disciples who, combined, are the temple/Church
Vs22 The disciples are the temple where God now lives, the Church, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Future Problems:
NIV 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the
rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.
4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets
himself up in Gods temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
The future problems will come from inside the Church
Judgment Day
Revelation 3:12 The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out
of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem,
which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.
The temple here is perhaps symbolic of the permanent place in heaven for disciples.
Revelations 21:22 And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the
Lamb.
23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory (Doxa/G1391)
of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.
Vs22 John saw no physical temple, the temple is the Lord God and Jesus.
Revelation 11:1 Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, Rise and measure the temple of
God and the altar and those who worship there,
Perhaps John is being asked to measure how many people are in the temple/Church of God.
Summary:

1 Corinthians 3:16
Disciples, both individually and combined, are God's holy temple/Church, and God's Spirit
lives/dwells in them.
2 Corinthians 6:16
Quoting the OT, disciples of the Church, then and now, are the temple of the living God.
Ephesians 2:22
disciples are the temple/Church where God lives, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
2 Thessalonians 2:4 The future problems will come from inside the Church
Revelation 3:12
The temple here is perhaps symbolic of the permanent place in heaven for disciples.
Revelation 21:22
John saw no physical temple, the temple is the Lord God and Jesus.
Revelation 11:1
Perhaps John is being asked to measure how many people are in the temple/Church of God.
Three extremely significant things have now happened and been identified here.
1/ Jesus death signified the end of the OT temple
2/ Jesus is the cornerstone, the first physical body to be God's spiritual temple.
3/ Each individual disciple, and all disciples together, is/are God's spiritual temple the Church.
In the OT God came in his glory to the physical temple, in the NT God comes in his Holy Spirit to our fleshly temple.
God now lives with us and in us.
Joshua 22:22 "The Mighty One, God, the LORD! The Mighty One, God, the LORD! He knows! And
let Israel know! If this has been in rebellion or disobedience to the LORD, do not spare us this day.
Psalm 50:1 The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the
sun to the place where it sets.
Jesus is at the right and God is at the left then they are next to each other and with each other. Two of them.
They are both coming together at the end of times, God and Jesus coming on heavenly clouds.

2 Chronicles 13:11-12 They offer to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt offerings and
incense of sweet spices, set out the showbread on the table of pure gold, and care for the golden lamp stand
that its lamps may burn every evening. For we keep the charge of the LORD our God, but you have forsaken
him.
12 Behold, God is with us at our head, and his priests with their battle trumpets to sound the call to battle
against you. O sons of Israel, do not fight against the LORD, the God of your fathers, for you cannot
succeed.
we are told "God is with us at our head" but no one assumes it means Yahweh was there in a human body.
(Also see 2 Chron 15:2; 20:17). David says that although he walks through the valley of the shadow of death
he fears no evil, because YHWH is "with him" (Ps 23:4).
The idea of God being "with" someone in a spiritual and functional sense rather than a spatial and physical sense is a
common expression in the Scriptures. For God to be with Israel, for example, meant He was with them in plan and
purpose as opposed to being against them.
Isaiah 8:8-10 and it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass on, reaching even to the neck, and
its outspread wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.
9 Be broken, you peoples, and be shattered; give ear, all you far countries; strap on your armor and be
shattered; strap on your armor and be shattered.
10 Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak a word, but it will not stand, for God is with us.
Vs10 Isaiah has already told us in chapter seven that God is "with" Ahaz and now in chapter eight He confirms it
again.
Summary:
Psalm 46:4-11
God is in the "midst of her" and The LORD of hosts is "with us"
Haggai 2:1-5
declares the LORD. "For I am with you" and "My spirit remains in your midst"
2 Chron 13:11-12
"God is with us at our head"
Isaiah 8:8-10
for God is with us.
When the scripture says that God is "with" the people it means spiritually and functionally rather that spatially and
physically. He is "with" them in plan and purpose.
(Some say that there is a difference between a passage saying "God with us" or "God is with us," I am unsure what
the claim is.)
Vs28 What does "the Lord is with you" mean? Does this mean that Gabriel is the Lord? Does it mean that Gabriel the
Lord is with Mary and therefore Mary is Gabriel the Lord? This passage means that God is with Mary in a way that
he is supporting her in plan and purpose.

Part 2F
As per Samuel, Psalms, Isaiah, Habakkuk and Jonah, the LORD God has a heavenly temple where
he was and is
Part 3A
These four passages say God would be coming and in each instance and in some way God did
come. The timing is never specifically identified however it seemed to have usually happened in
some way either immediately after, or within a few years.
None of these prophectic scriptures of God's coming are waiting to be fulfilled.
Part 3A2
These four passages are different from Part 3A in that they say God would be coming but he
actually sent other people in his stead in each instance. God had representitives do His work. There
is more detail of how each prophecy was fulfilled and who came in his stead in Part 4A2.
None of these prophectic scriptures of God's coming are waiting to be fulfilled.
Part 3B
God's glory would be coming. The term "glory of the LORD" is in the bible 38 times and nearly all
the occurrences are describing the fulfillments, rather than prophecies, of the appearance of the
"glory of the LORD.'
None of these prophectic scriptures of God's glory coming are waiting to be fulfilled.
Part 3B2
The fulfillments of each of these three prophecies when people will see God's glory can be seen in
Part 4B2.

80 AD: the dwelling place of God will be with man
Both OT passages will become fulfilled later in each book. Revelation is yet to happen
Part 3F
Zechariah 6:12 Near Fulfillment: A man, called the branch, Joshua the priest along with
Zerubbabel, Zechariah and Haggai would rebuild the OT temple which was completed in 516BC
approx.
Zechariah 6:12 Far Fulfillment: A man, called the branch, Jesus, will come from his place in
heaven to build the temple on the earth. The temple is the Church is God's house. Jesus is the
cornerstone, the disciples are the building.
OT Joshua and NT Jesus are both the Branch, High Priest, King, have virtually the same name, and
are servants of God
The fulfillments of Parts 3A-E are shown in Parts 4A-E
It seems that Part 3C is fulfilled in Part 4D, through His glory.
Part 4A
There is a large amount of scriptures that God to appeared to many including Abraham, Isaac,
Jacob, Moses, Solomon, Job and others.
Several passages in Part 1 and Part 2 say no one has seen God, nor can they see God and live. So
the question is what happened in the OT? What were the people looking at? Personally, I don't
know.
It is interesting to note that of all times God came to these people it was only in the case of Moses
and Solomon where there was a previous prophecy which later became fulfilled. These were
identified in Part 3A.
Part 4A2
Isaiah 31:4
God would come, fulfilled when the angel of death came in
Isaiah 35:2-6 "He will come and save you" fulfilled when king Cyrus came in
Jeremiah 11:22 I will punish them" fulfilled when King Nebuchadnezzar came in

many, come on His behalf.
Part 4B
The glory of the LORD God came and appeared to many, including these thirteen passages, on
numerous different occasions.
Part 4B2

onwards
Part 4F
Part 5A
Isaiah 42:8 The LORD God will not give his glory to another.
The LORD God will not give His praise to carved idols.
The point of these two statements is to tell the people that He is the only God, not any other idols.
Isaiah 48:11 God would not give his glory to another, meaning the idols.
It is my opinion that these passages are often misunderstood. It is my belief that God is saying he
will not give his glory to "another" meaning a so called god or idol. He cannot mean He wont give
His glory to other people because of the amount of passages where he does give his glory to other
people including Jesus. Those passages are overwhelming and will be shown later in Parts 5B-D.
Part 5B
Part 5C
Part 5C2
2 Corinthians 8:23
