Editing
• Worked as an editor of communications for the Mail Services Department
of BYU-I.
• Assisted in selection, and revision of creative works for the Outlet Literary
Journal comprised of student work submissions at BYU-I.
• Participated in numerous peer edits and reviews during time as a student.
• Used MLA extensively to write literary analysis, technical papers, and
research articles.

Creative Writing
• Studied the arts of fiction, poetry, playwriting, screenwriting, creative
non-fiction, and journalism.
• Was selected as a poetry finalist in 2008 at the BYU-I English
department’s Pre-Professional Conference.
• Received fourth place at the Bi-Annual Poetry Slam at the Museum of
Eastern Idaho.
• Wrote and directed an original short play called The Funeral produced by
the BYU-I Theatre Council.
• Adapted for the stage and directed a short play based on the Nathaniel
Hawthorne short story Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment.

Performance
• Played Dr. Faustus in the BYU-I production of Marlowe’s The Tragical
Historie of Dr. Faustus.
• Played the role of “The Fat Prince” among others in Brecht’s Caucasian
Chalk Circle.
• Played various parts in several other productions at BYU-I, including: The
Devil in an adaptation of Young Goodman Brown, an abusive drunk in an
original musical written by J. Omar Hansen, as well as participation in
various improvisational and classical performance ensembles.

• Batchelors of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative writing as well
as extensive studies in Theatre and Political Science.
