Nave is a collection that functions like a boutique,


using a rotating cast of independent designers who feed
into the central collection. Think of creative director
Richard Chai as the hub of this wheel (not coincidentally,
the meaning of the word nave). Known for his
eponymous line and his work at Marc Jacobs and TSE,
Chai designs Naves core collection himself. He then sets
the parameters for the seasoncolor palette, seasonal
themesand gives them to independent designers to
guide the creation of auxiliary pieces for the Nave brand:
Think knits by Steven Alan, pants by Alice + Oliva,
jackets by Add, graphic tees by Industry Rag. The result
is a collection that serves as a specialty store, with a
common thread throughout.
