WHO IS A VETERAN?

A VETERAN is someone who has served


his or her country in the military (ever!)
Our VETERANS AND CURRENT
MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY are
brave men and women who work to protect
our country and keep us all safe and free!

WHAT IS VETERANS DAY?


VETERANS DAY is a special day of the
year in the USA (November 11th) to
remember and say thank you to any person
who has served in the military.

MARINE CORPS
Established November 10, 1775
(It is the Marine Corps 238th birthday
this month!)
Works with the Navy, but is usually the
FIRST to send out help if there is an
emergency in the USA or in another
country!

AIR FORCE
Newest branch of the military
(It became its own branch in 1947)
Protects our country through air and space

NATIONAL GUARD!

COAST GUARD
Keeps the waters around the
United States safe for everyone
Protects boaters, travelers, helps
find anyone lost at sea, and
watches over all our water

EVERY DAY!
