Abstract:
This proposal will explain my understanding of the company that has offered
me an opportunity to work with them and help me completing my work placement
elective course requirements, the company is called Ahmed Al Nasser Garage, also
it will talk about the mission and goals of the company, plus the sort of work that
will be handed to me in order to complete all of the 140 working hours and how this
work will support my skills.

Introduction
The Engineering industry in Bahrain is in a continuous evolutionary improvement,
this industry began with a few companies which are now considered the leaders of
Engineering in Bahrain, this success inspired and still inspires the small engineering
men who are interested in engineering to build companies and follow the trails of
the greats, and Ahmed Al Nasser Garage is one of these ambitious companies.
Ahmed Al Nasser Garage is Bahraini company that is located in Shk Salman road. It
is specialized in germen cars (Benz Mercedes & BMW). The garage's main task is
repairing mechanical, fabrication and electrical problems. This garage has a long
history with the Germany cars since it was the first garage that can handle this
brand of cars from the 1950s. This proposal will focus on the duties/tasks that will
be accomplished by me during the work placement course.

Job description
There different main mission are covered by Ahmed Al Nasser Garage in different
fields. Since the garage is specialized in mechanical, the mechanical workers there
have huge knowledge in the Germen cars (Mercedes and BMW). However, the
number of cars was reduced due to that the germen agencies in Bahrain are
providing warranties for long time to their customers.

The second main mission of the garage is fabrication, which is fixing and damages
in the body of the car. In the area, workers are able to fix any type of car, since
accidents occur every day. In this area, workers handle the responsibility of
replacing any damaged wheel in the car, cleaning the car and painting the fixed
body kit.
The last mission of the garage is handling the electrical problems in cars. This field
covers any problem in the (A/C, lights, battery and wiring) inside the car. Besides,
workers in this area are responsible of arranging the cars inside the garage. This
section pays almost most of the employees salaries, since the electrical spare part
is very expensive.

Tasks
The main tasks that are given to me in the garage:

Replacing any not working battery.

Checking the lights of the car.
Check if there any leakage in the A/cs compressor.
Prepare the required tools after analyzing the problem.
Support the technician.
Arranging and moving the cars before closing.

These task will help me a lot in the electronics field, since electrical is the base of it.
I think that during my work placement course I will benefit my experience because
the tasks of the organization are related to my studies and my life. Moreover, this
work placement will help building a strong CV and career for the future. Work
placement also participates in building strong employability skills:

Besides, work placement prepares students for hard work after finishing their
degree and makes them familiar with work environment.
Finally, I was very lucky to get a job in engineering field because not many people
get to have a job in a company which is specialize in the same major, and I could
benefit from the other employees experiences as I am working on mine .Because
my major in the polytechnic is engineering, the manager that accepted me also
promised me that if they needed me to help them with related tasks he would ask
me to participate in the future.
