I n that picture the kids are playing foot ball, its a type of physical
game with rules, where the kids choose to play, which make that game
cooperative as well according to Partens stages of play .That game
assists them to develop their gross motor skills when they run .In
addition they learn how to socialise with the other kids, and get new
emotion when they play like : exited , happy and interest . As we can
see the kids are deeply involved in their game and that the features for
this kind of play, they focus and use their cognitive to analyse when
they should kick the ball, and what the appropriate word to say when
they want to passes the ball , so they developing their language as well .

In this picture the kids are playing without rule, they just
running out side, they are playing associative and physical
game, which develop their gross motor skills, and their
sensory while they are running, they can smell the tree and
grass smell, also they can hear variety of different sounds
like: birds and wind .

game, they rehearse their
future by pretending that they
are a doctor, teacher and
engineer, which assists them
to get out of their ego-centric,
so they are capable to change
their perception of the people .
Moreover they may use new
vocabulary while they play, so
they develop their language .

In that picture the kids are playing manipulative game, which assist them to
use their fine motor skills and create their own building or whatever they
thank that they do. The kids are deeply engaged in their game, as we can see
the girls with pink shirt is playing beside the boy with black and blue striped
t-shirt with the same kind of play, however each one of them are playing
individually and focusing in the blocks which in front of them, which mean
that they are playing in parallel way. Moreover if we se the boy with gold
hair and red t-shirt, we can see that he is observing the boy with brown hair
beside hem, and that called onlooker according to Partens stages of play.

alone with her bicycle and
she look so happy as if
celebrating what she know
with the new skills that she
acquired .

As we can see in this picture that the kid are imitate his
father, he saw his father polishing the car then the kid
polish his toy car, so he coordinate ideas, feeling and
conductance from people around hem .

In this picture if we see the


girl with whit jacket we will
find that she is playing
alone, and cuddling a rabbit
and has a toy pram, so she
used first hand experience
from her life.

playing exploratory game,
she discovered that she can
make shapes if she put the
soil on to the sand mold, also
this kind of play which is a
sensory play require from the
girl to use her sensory, so she
can touch the sand and use
her fingers to make shapes .

an adult , they are
developing their social
skill , by talking and
playing with each other .

These two girls are playing


a dramatic game, one of
them are the customer
which is the girls with blue
dress and the other one
with pink sweater is the
seller .

Kids usually make up rules


as they play , like the kids
on this picture , their rule is
that one of them should
close his eyes and count tell
a certain number while the
others hiding in somewhere
then when he finished
counting he goes to look for
them .

My TP students
In this picture the kids are playing a dramatic game, the boy who
drive the blue toy car is the criminal and the other one with who
grasp blue thing is the policeman, actually the blue thing is a
broken plastic part the kids found it in the play ground then they
used it as a gun to play this dramatic game,so they symbolically
represent as they play, making and adapting play props .

agenda. He was painting as
if he were writing in
Japanese, but when I asked
hem what is this? he
replied its Banda Bear.

How can adults (parents and teachers) make sure


kids get to play ?

Teachers and parents


should gave the kids the
freedom to play in large
area .

The most important things that adults can provide are:Time, Space, Materials and
Caring adults . As we can se in this video the teacher gave her students the freedom
to play in large area, and they got safe materials appropriate to their age , moreover
they had a time to play . In addition they got a caring from the adults as what
happen in the video the teach asked the kids to take a sip of water because the
weather was very hot .

In this picture the kids found it enjoyable to make mess


everywhere, so the adults should recognise that mess, roughhousing
and nonsense are all parts of play kids like to make it , and it will
be boring to hem play without mess .
