Summary
Symptom
You start the report RM07MMFI in dialog mode for certain company codes to
check the previous periods. The previous periods for the company codes to
be checked are closed to prevent further postings. During the report
runtime, goods movements can be posted only to the current period.
However, the report RM07MMFI shows different values for the material
masters in the previous periods each time it is run. The values for the
associated stock accounts do not change.

Solution
o
Correct the source code for the report RM07MMFI.
The source text corrections are delivered automatically with the assigned
Support Packages. If you want to use this function in advance, implement
the corrections in accordance with the correction instructions.
o
Activate the enhanced check for the previous period.
This enhanced check in "Check Previous Period" mode prolongs the runtime of
the report RM07MMFI. The enhanced check is therefore deactivated by
default. You can use the utility report Z_1875415_RM07MMFI_EXT_CHECK to
activate and deactivate the enhanced check.
Create the utility report Z_1875415_RM07MMFI_EXT_CHECK with the following
properties:
- Title: Z_1875415_RM07MMFI_EXT_CHECK
- Type: "Executable program"
- Status: "Test program"
- Application: "Materials Management"
- Package: Assign a package to this report that allows transports to your
system landscape.
- Load the source code by performing an upload from the attached file
"EBJ_Z_1875415_RM07MMFI_EXT_CHECK.zip".

To start the report, the user must hold debugging authorization. This is
intended to ensure that the report can be started only by system
administrators.
o
Functions provided by the enhanced check for the previous period.
This enhanced check is performed only if you set the "Previous Period"
parameter and activate the enhanced check using the report
Z_1875415_RM07MMFI_EXT_CHECK. Once active, the system performs additional
database selections that can result in a significantly longer runtime.
If the system identifies differences in the values of materials from the
previous period, the differences are shown for each company code and
account at the end of the list output. In such cases, you must start the
report again.
