Job responsibilities
As Head of department of mathematics

To provide a vision & mission to the department of mathematics to achieve

the organizations goals
To provide strong Mathematical fundamentals and subject knowledge to
students and enable them to excel in the subject
To provide direction to the department on all activities concerning the
instruction and delivery of the subject to students as per aligned schedule
To develop a cadre of colleagues who inspire students to learn the subject
and develop strong interpersonal skills
Develop key performance indicators for teachers and students
As subject matter expert
Provide guidance to students on how to learn the subject technically and
effectively
To assist colleagues in developing a teaching pattern that would inculcate
students to learn the subject with interest
To assist staff and students whenever subject expertise is required

As a class instructor (subject teacher)

To instruct and coach maths as a subject for the assigned classes

To teach the concept of maths in a way that students understand the
subject technically and do not rely on memory power
To simplify the concept of maths to students so that students
understand concepts thoroughly and instill confidence in them to face
exams

As a Class handler (class teacher)

To handle a batch of students assigned in a particular class

To set guidelines and parameters for the students on their day to
day activities inside the class room

To keep an overview on all the subjects learnt by the students and

have metrics maintained for their performance
To touch base with parents of the respective class in building a
cordial parent teacher relationship for the benefit of the
students education.
Encourage student to take part in co-curricular activities as part
of school education and build a holistic education approach.
