CLASS EXAMPLE

A building (with a large plan area) was constructed on a clay deposit

over a period extending from May 2005 to May 2007. In May 2010,
the average measured settlement was found to be 25mm. The
ultimate settlement of the building was calculated as 65mm. Estimate
the settlement of the structure in May 2015.
