Why?
Hes been an engineer his whole life. He started working in Uganda in
2010. And he started working in his local community after coming back from
Uganda.
He was making good money as a engineer but he realized he wanted to give
back and make people happy. He went on a trip to Uganda in 2009 and
unfortunately got sick due to malaria. With him catching this unfortunate
disease, he witnessed how the medical care system is lacking in their needs
that should be met on daily basis. This made him make a promise to a friend of
his to change the youth and his community in a positive manner.

Why do they deserve the award?

John Carnevale deserves this award because he not only has done work in
Rhode Island, by creating a gym for East Providence High School, but he has
expanded his community service to Uganda, by creating hospitals, schools,
and a water filter for the needy people who dont normally have access to these
necessities. He continues to strive and help others everywhere he goes and he
spreads his message of giving to others. He is an inspiration for the people in a
community to get together to make a change, that will surely impact lives. The
work he has done has influenced many people positively and saved the lives of
a great number of Ugandans. Being the determined, passionate, and
affectionate individual he is, future generations will want to do more
community service in order to give back to their communities.
