CULTURE
1. Culture is that complex whole which includes
knowledge, belief, art, morals, law, customs, and
any other capabilities and habits acquired by man
as a member of society.
Tyler (British anthropologist) 1870.
2. Culture can have different kinds:
- HISTORICAL: cultural and social heritage.
- MENTAL: complex of ideas and habits.
- STRUCTURAL: ruled, symbols and interrelated.
- SYMBOLIC: meanings assigned arbitrarily that are
shared by a society.
