Bone health is incredibly important for

each and every stage life, but is often
ignored by younger generations. T his

bone health effects large majorities of
the population. Bones are mainly built in
teenage years, so advocacy for bone
health is essential in these years. T he
habits you create as a youth will decide
your bone health for the f uture. T his
event will educate students on bone
health through peer teaching and
encourage healthy habits in daily lives.

Since this event is peer taught and initiated,

it is designed to be run by a group of
students involved in the school. W ith support
of the school or organization this group of
leaders will initiate Bone Break D ay and
prior events within their school. To begin
there must be a group of at least seven
students determined to complete this project
in their school. A lso, the school must
understand the components of the project
and have the ability to support the students.
T he f irst step is to decide roles in the group.
