!First Quarter Comments- I have enjoyed getting to know Logan this quarter. I am impressed with his progress in Math and Reading.
Logan is beginning to use strategies taught to him to solve unknown words. Also, he has become secure in reading and writing his
short vowel sounds. Logans math skills have improved over the quarter. He is successful in using different strategies to solve
!addition problems. He continues to progress in understanding
!
different ways to subtract. Logan continues to work on his small
moments writing. Logan is very creative and is a great speller. Often, Logan would write fictional stories instead of writing about
!things that happened to him. When working with
! him! one on one
! Logan! was able to write great small moment stories including
details. Continue to have him work on stories and answer the questions who, what, where, why, when, and how to add details. I am
!looking forward to seeing continued progress from Logan this year. Great job Logan!

Second Quarter Comments Logans reading accuracy continues to improve! He is able to ask and answer questions about fictional
texts. At times, he has a hard time asking questions about informational texts. Logan still struggles to write on topic. I work one on
one with Logan during writing a few times a week. He currently is working on writing information texts about a topic he knows a lot
about. He sometimes struggles to write down things that teach. He is working on answering who, what, where, why, and when
questions to help add more meaningful things to his writing. Logan is able to add to 20. He is still working on subtracting within 20
consistently. In other areas of math, Logan is inconsistent. He is working on developing an understanding of missing number and
place value. Logan has improved in Fast Math. He is completing 2 lessons a day and as a result he knows his facts more fluently.

!Third Quarter Comments- Logan has had a wonderful quarter! Logan is reading grade level texts and is working on retelling with

details. Logans comprehension in nonfiction texts has greatly improved, and he can now find connections and compare and contrast
nonfiction and fiction texts. Logans writing has also improved, and his passion and hard work is showing in his writing! Logan is
currently working on adding more details and checking his work to make sure it makes sense. In math, Logan can add effectively but
is working on being fluent in addition. Xtramath.org would benefit him well in becoming more fluent in addition. Logan has greatly
improved in math concepts and word problems. Logan is now working on being consistent in such areas of comparing numbers,
solving word problems with missing numbers, and adding problems that require regrouping. Logans hard work this quarter is really
showing, and I cant wait to see what fourth quarter brings for him!
