Students who Have Been Long-Term Suspended or Expelled
from Another District: Incident Creation and Enrollment
Processes
Students who have been long-term suspended or expelled from
another district must have an incident created in eSIS by the Interagency Enrollment Specialist (Jowell), and then must follow the same process as for other sanctioned students.
If a student is l-t suspended or expelled and already has an
SPS assignment: 1. Jowell contacts the assigned school and requests that they create a cross-enrollment to school 810 (Out of District). 2. Once the cross-enrollment has been created, Jowell logs into his sch 810 eSIS account and creates an incident for school 810. 3. Jowell no-shows the cross-enrollment to sch 810 4. The student will now have a Sanctioned alert in SAS. If a student is l-t suspended or expelled and has not yet been assigned (the student has indicated on their Admission form that they were suspended or expelled from another district): 1. Service Center staff admits the student as normal 2. Service Center staff assigns the student to Interagency (same as Sanctioned students) 3. Jowell contacts the Interagency registrar (Josie) and requests that she create a cross-enrollment to school 810 (Out of District). 4. Once the cross-enrollment has been created, Jowell logs into his sch 810 eSIS account and creates an incident for school 810. 5. Jowell no-shows the cross-enrollment to school 810. 6. The student will now have a Sanctioned alert in SAS.
