July 11 meet and greet 9:00 am to 12:00 noon followed by formal classroom instruction 1:00 pm to
4:00 pm all with Rich Wyatt Jeff Cooper Master Instructor and star of American Guns on the Discovery Channel. Rich will lecture on firearms self-defense, defense mindset, safety, and responsible cooperation with law enforcement. (Josephine County Fairground Pavilion Building in Grants Pass)

The modern technique of the pistol, IPSC, the International Practical Shooting Confederation,
and the fine practical training schools Gunsite, Thunder Ranch, Gunsmoke and many others are
with us today because of the pioneering work of Jeff Cooper and his Combat Master colleagues
Ray Chapman, Elden Carl, Thell Reed, Jack Weaver and their students and friends.
These men are no longer with us, but their legacy has enriched us all. Rich Wyatt worked beside
Jeff Cooper for many years and is one of only six Master Instructors certified by Jeff Cooper. It
is a rare opportunity to learn directly from Rich Wyatt, who lived and worked beside these men
through many of the years during which they transformed American firearms technique into a
sport and an effective tool for the teaching and advancement of defensive techniques.
