FEE SCHEDULE AND MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

FEES:
PER DIEM FEE: $800.
DOCKETING FEE: $100
CANCELLATION FEE: (See below).
Grievance Arbitration: The fee is $800 per day of travel, hearing, research and preparation of the
opinion and award. A hearing day is any portion of a day up to eight hours. Time for research and
preparation is pro-rated.
Docketing Fee/Cancellation Policy: The docketing fee is waived if the case goes to hearing. If the
scheduled hearing is postponed or cancelled with notice of less than four calendar weeks (28 days), the
per diem fee for each day of hearing shall be charged. For hearings scheduled for three days or more, a
notice period of six calendar weeks (42 days) shall apply.
Interest Arbitration, Fact-finding and Labor Mediation: Arbitrator charges $1,200.00 per day (for up
to 8 hours). Time for research and preparation is pro-rated at $150.00/hour. Fees for expedited
arbitration proceedings will be discussed and determined prior to the hearing.
Travel Time: If travel is necessary for any day other than a hearing day, Arbitrator charges one-half the
per diem fee for travel up to four hours, and the full per diem fee for travel over four hours. Fee is prorated for travel time over eight hours in any one day at $100.00/hour.
Expenses: Arbitrator charges actual cost of reasonable expenses, including airfare, car rental, food, and
lodging. Automobile mileage is charged at the applicable IRS expense rate. Arbitrator charges actual
expenses for copying, phone and clerical assistance.
Issuance of Subpoenas
Any party requesting any subpoena(s) should prepare the subpoena(s) and send it/them either by E-Mail
attachment, fax, or regular mail with adequate time for them to be properly served. It is the responsibility
of the requesting party to notify the opposing party of the requests. Subpoenas will normally be signed
and returned to the requesting party for service. Enforcement of the subpoena is the responsibility of the
requesting party.
Responsible Parties: If the parties noted on the FMCS appointment letter are not the parties responsible
for the arbitrator fees, please inform the arbitrator at the time of scheduling.
Administrative Fee: Arbitrator reserves the right to charge an administrative fee for cases involving
unusual amounts of time and expense relative to the prehearing and post-hearing administration of a
particular case. That fee will be disclosed to the parties as soon as foreseeable. Other prehearing
questions may be directed to Arbitrator by E-Mail or phone with appropriate notice to the opposing party.
