NOTICE INVITING QUOTATION

Quotation as per schedule attached is hereby invited by the undersigned so as to reach this
office on or before 13-11-2014 upto 01:00 PM and shall be opened on same day at 03:30 PM in the
presence of contractors or their authorized representatives who may wish to be present at the
time of opening.
Name of work: Providing Chemical Earthing at Academic block of IIT Mandi at Mandi.

The work will be carried out as per CPWD General Specifications for Electrical works
amended up to date & as per the instructions of the Engineer-in-charge.

2. The work is of urgent nature and is to be completed within 15 days from issue of work
order.
3. Earth resistance should preferably be less than 1.0 Ohm but not more than 2.0 Ohm in any
case for each pit. Pits having earth resistance of more than 2.0 Ohm will not be excepted.
4. All damages done during execution of the work is to be made good by the contractor and
nothing extra will be paid separately for the same.
5. The Prices quoted should be net and nothing extra is to be paid.
6. Contractor shall abide by labour rules and regulations.
7. All the applicable taxes shall be deducted from bill.
8. All material to be used on the work will have to be got approved from the Engineer-incharge.

Supply and laying 25 mm x 5 mm copper strip at 0.50 metre below

ground as strip earth electrode including connection/terminating with
nuts,bolts & spring washer etc. as required.(Jointing shall be done by
overlapping and with 2 sets of brass nuts bolts & spring washer spaced
at 50 mm).
