It shall be unlawful for any person driving or in control of any motor vehicle to permit the same to stand unattended. Such person must first stop the engine, lock the ignition, remove the key and effectively set the brakes thereof. When standing upon any grade turning the front wheels to the curb or side of the highway so that if the vehicle should roll or coast forward or back, it would strike the curb.
